My Wife’s New Car

March 16, 2015 by Paul 7 Comments

Last week I wrote a post stating that it was looking like my wife might be the first one out of the two of us to get a free car from blogging.

She started the year off by taking the 21 Day Blogging Challenge and it helped her to raise more awareness and to get more clients for her home based business.

We have both been in the market for a new car for a while now, since both our cars are over 10 years old.

When we made the decision to upgrade our cars at the beginning of this year, we also decided to do it by first focusing on boosting the income we make from our home based businesses by embracing Blogging on a regular basis.

We knew that getting new cars would be a lot of fun, but we also realized that just like most people out there, we don’t really like making car payments to pay for those cars. 🙂

So what we decided was that if we could first boost our business incomes to the point where the extra income paid for all or at the very least the majority of the car payments, then we would be able to get the benefit of getting a new car without the major drawback of having an extra payment to take care of.

That makes the process of getting a new car WAY more fun as my wife and I experienced this weekend when we bought her new car.

I shot this quick video today to show off her new Mazda that she bought, and to hopefully inspire others to consider starting their blogging careers by taking the 21 Day Blogging Challenge so that they can manifest the money to buy whatever they want in their lives – whether that’s a new car or something else.

Check out the video here:

3 Blogging Myths That Are Just Not True

March 15, 2015 by Paul 1 Comment

Here are three very common blogging myths that I hear all the time that are just not true.

Myth #1 – You Have To Be a Good Writer to Blog

One of the most common excuses I hear from people about starting a Blog is that they say that they’re not good at writing.

Yet, the very same people text 5,000 words of text to all their friends throughout the day, and post dozens of facebook updates.

You don’t have to be a great writer to be a great blogger.  Blogging is about making a connection with your audience and communicating with them in a comfortable, conversational style.

It is NOT about winning an English literary prize for best writer.

Also, nobody even said you have to write.  If you prefer you could make videos, and then outsource the process of transcribing your videos into blog posts.

Or just record videos, upload them to YouTube, and then write a short blog post of just a few sentences introducing the video and then embed the video in your post.

Myth #2 – To Start a Blog I Need to Pick One Niche Topic and Know Exactly What I’m Going to Blog About

This is another common myth.

Most people think that they need to pick just ONE ultra-targeted niche topic for their Blog and then do nothing but write content related to that topic.

You don’t have to do that.

You can Blog about various different subjects that interest you, and you don’t have to be an expert in any field to Blog about it.

With proper training you can train your mind to start generating Blog post content ideas as you’re living your life.

You can turn almost anything that you experience throughout the day into an interesting Blog post piece.

You can find some of the best training I’ve seen on this topic by clicking here.

Myth #3 – Starting a Blog is Complicated

Another common thing I hear people say about Blogging is that starting a Blog is complicated and requires technical knowledge.

Until fairly recently, I would somewhat agree with this statement because Blogging used to be complicated.

As a techie / former computer programmer, I found the technology required to setup a Blog fairly easy to understand, but not everyone has a programming / techie background like I do, so it used to be pretty difficult to get starting with Blogging without being a techie or hiring one to help you out.

Luckily today with the Kalatu Brand Station platform, all of that is virtually eliminated.

Kalatu allows anyone to setup a Blog in just a few simple steps without any prior technical knowledge.

Also, the other benefit of using the Kalatu platform is that it is based on the WordPress platform, but unlike using WordPress on your own hosted platform, Kalatu offers you training and support for using their software.

How Learning Marketing Can Make You More Spiritually Aware

March 14, 2015 by Paul 2 Comments

Twenty years ago I used to think that the marketing, sales and advertising industry was all just about lies and lying to people.

I used to think that all sales people were just liars who deceive people into buying something that they don’t want to buy.

I used to walk into stores, and see a sales rep walking towards me and start walking in another direction hoping they would just leave me alone and “bother” someone else.

This negative association that I had towards sales people and the marketing industry as a whole was something that I was programmed with growing up, by society, by teachers and just generally as a kid by listening to adults saying negative things about sales people and marketers.

As a young entrepreneur I totally didn’t see the value that marketing and sales played in a business.

At best I saw it as a necessary evil that a business had to participate in, in order to succeed.

Fast forward twenty years to today and now that I’ve taken the time to actually study and understand the marketing industry, I now see it as one of the most amazing and spiritually aligned and awakened industries on the planet.

Sure society and the mass media still tries to portray marketers as scum-bags who are out to “get you” like the boogeyman or something like that, but true marketing is deeply rooted in the spiritual practice of seeking Universal Truth.

As I’ve studied and have had the privilege of been mentored by some of the world’s most effective marketers, I have come to discover that they are some of the most enlightened human beings on the planet.

The reason for this is because to be an effective marketer you MUST understand the TRUTH of who human beings are and how they think and what motivates them.

Effective marketers have a much more accurate understanding of the TRUTH of what actually motivates human beings than the average person.

Let’s compare a marketer to a physicist for a moment.

The study of physics is the study of the Universe and the laws that govern the Universe.

So we could say that the more a person understands physics, the more that person understands the Universe.

Well, marketing is the study of human beings and the the motivations that govern human beings.

Therefore what we could say is that the more a person understands marketing, the more that person understands human beings…

… and since most spiritual texts and disciplines also say that human beings were made in the image of God, then logic would dictate that to have a better understanding of human beings is also to have a better understanding of God.

Now, I’m not saying that marketing is the ONLY discipline that pursues the understand of human beings, but it is ONE of the disciplines that pursues that understanding.

Let me give you some examples of what I mean by that.

As an Internet Marketer, for example, one of the things that I do is put together websites and marketing pages which are seen by thousands of people.

When I put together those pages and websites, I use my understanding of human beings to communicate the message that I want to communicate.

In other words, the starting point of my marketing efforts is based on my then current level of understanding of how human beings think and what motivates them to take action.

However, that is just the starting point…

… see, as an Internet Marketer I then do something that most other people never do in other professions…

I *split test* against my original marketing page designs and copy, with a variation on that same design and copy, to see which page performs better.

Meaning, for example I might start off with a page design which shows the reader three benefits of downloading an eBook I am giving away for free.

The three benefits that I state on the page are obviously chosen based on the best and most accurate understanding that I have of people in that moment of time.

And then what I do is I setup a split test page which has a nearly identical design, but which might now communicate three different benefits.

And then I drive a certain a mount of traffic to the two pages and monitor which one performs better.

Let’s say, for example, that the second variation that I create outperforms the first one by 20%.

Meaning, 20% more people took action on the second variation of benefits that I communicated, as compared to the first.

What this basically means is that as a marketer, I now understand human beings MORE than I did prior to running that split-test.

Why?  Well, because prior to running that split test, my best understanding of how human beings work was responsible for creating the original page design and copy…

… but after the split test was completed, I now understand human beings MORE than I did before because I now understand what actually motivates people to take action MORE than before.

Does that make sense?

Here’s another example.

Let’s say that I am putting together a marketing page to promote a healthy weight loss program for men…

… and let’s say part of my sales page design will feature a hi resolution image of SOMETHING that I believe will entice men to take action and purchase this weight loss product…

… so let’s say that my initial belief and understanding of what motivates men tells me that men are motivated by sex and sexy pictures, and so I decide to put up a picture of a woman in a bikini in my marketing piece as I believe that might be the best way to motivate men to take action…

… and maybe I might couple that picture with a marketing slogan that states something along the lines that “If you lose weight, beautiful women will find you more desirable.”

Of course I might not use those exact words, but that concept.

Okay, so let’s say that I now have my baseline and I test this hypothesis of what I believe motivates men to lose weight, and lets say that this campaign converts at 20% – meaning 20% of men who see this sales page offer with a woman in a bikini and that slogan, end up buying the product.

Now, let’s say that as a random split test, I decided to try something totally different…

… such as for example a photo of a man in his 40’s or 50’s playing soccer with a teenage son…

…and lets say that I put a slogan there which basically communicates the message of “If you lose weight, you’ll be a better father who can play soccer with his kid.”

Now, imagine if this second campaign outperforms the first campaign by converting at 55%.

What would happen now to my understanding of what I believe motivates men?

Well, what I might realize now as a marketer is that the stereotype that society and that mass media has of all men being these two dimensional creatures that ONLY ever think about one thing (sex), is in fact inaccurate.

My marketing tests may uncover the truth that men are much more motivated by the desire to be good fathers, than they are by being desirable to women in bikinis.

I’m not saying this is true, as I haven’t done this test myself, but I’m saying that IF I did this test, and the results showed what I described above, then I would now have a better understanding of what motivates human beings (especially men) than I did prior to doing the test.

In other words, the more testing I actually do as a marketer, the more I understand what ACTUALLY motivates human beings to take certain actions, instead of what society, programming and the mass media TELL US that motivates human beings.

And I can definitely tell you that as an entrepreneur who has only really embraced marketing to a large degree in the last 5-10 years, I have a totally different understanding of people and what motivates them than I did prior to learning marketing.

Who people are, and what REALLY motivates them is NOT what society and mass media tells us.

In fact, in a lot of cases it’s the exact opposite.

Every time I run a marketing test, and then I measure results, I feel like I’m getting a bigger glimpse of the TRUTH of what actually motivates people, and I have to say it is absolutely fascinating!

Like a physicist who performs experiments to understand the Universe, marketers perform experiments (marketing campaigns) to understand human beings!

I’m so grateful that many years ago I decided to study marketing as it has given me an education in HUMANITY and TRUTH, and to me that’s been a highly spiritual experience.

How to Manifest Your Dreams Faster With This One Trick

March 13, 2015 by Paul 3 Comments

Do you have big dreams, but find that you’re not getting any closer to them?

Do you want to make your dreams come true, but find that you are missing certain resources to make them happen?

One of my dreams is to become a multi-millionaire who invests in small up and coming start-ups.

I love entrepreneurship and I would love to have enough money to invest in a bunch of amazing companies that have great ideas, and great people, but that just need some help financially to get going.

When I think about my dream, typically the first place that my mind will go to is a future time where it envisions me having millions and millions of dollars and THEN investing in certain start-up companies.

It kind of pre-supposes that I need to be a multi-millionaire first, before investing in companies because that is the vision that I have for my future.

However, there is a faster way to achieve your dreams by starting to take action towards your dreams WITHIN the resources you currently have available to you, instead of waiting for ALL the resources you would need before getting started.

For example, going back to my example of wanting to invest millions of dollars into entrepreneurial ventures that I believe in, right now I don’t have an extra few million dollars lying around to invest in companies…

… so it would be easy for me to think “Ah, whatever…I’ll just wait until I am a multi-millionaire with extra cash lying around then I’ll start investing.”

However, what if I didn’t place such unnecessary limitations on myself?

What if I could start funding entrepreneurial ventures NOW – TODAY?

But instead of investing millions of dollars which I don’t currently have yet, what if I could do it in a small way?

By applying this line of thinking in my life, I have been able to start moving towards my dream in a very tiny way… basically “Micro-Starting” the process.

How?

Well, simply by making the decision to get started right away, and not waiting for some future day in my life, the Universe starting to bring to me many different opportunities where I could get involved in very small ways.

For example I have funded about a half-dozen crowdfunding projects, including the Skulpt Aim weight loss gadget I just did a video of a few days ago.

Another example of getting started in a very small way, has been my Kiva micro-loan campaign that I started earlier this year.

We’re not talking about huge amounts of money here to get started with these types of projects, but the energetic payoff has been awesome as it makes me feel amazing to know that even though I’m not yet at the level I want to be financially to be able to fund much larger projects, I can at least still be involved TODAY albeit in a smaller way.

Now, ask yourself… what are some of YOUR dreams?

Are there certain resources that you still lack to make them come true?

Not enough time?

Not enough money?

Not enough connections?

Not enough knowledge?

All these different types of resources could hold you back from expressing your dreams, but they don’t have to!

What if you just took one tiny step forward?

For example, let’s say that your dream is to make a full time income online working from home…

… but let’s say that you’ve never made a single penny online yet and you feel totally overwhelmed with all the stuff you need to do to get started.

Well, what if you just took one tiny step forward, like registered your first domain, or setup a Blog?

Don’t over-think it.

Don’t worry about what Step 2 or Step 3 or Step 100 is going to be just yet…

… only focus on taking one tiny step forward.

Another one of my dreams is that I want to be a DJ / Music producer as well…

… however, right now my time is primarily focused on building my online businesses such as this blog, so I don’t have a lot of time to work on that dream.

However, instead of just ignoring that dream completely, what I do is I carve out tiny moments of time when I work on being a DJ / Music producer.

For example, last night at around 1 am in the morning, I spent about an hour of my time learning one of my first transitions that I learned as a DJ.

Even though I only had one hour of time I could devote towards making that dream happen, one hour is better than zero.

ANYTHING is better than zero.

To make your dreams come true, you have to get out of the mentality of thinking that life is an “ALL OR NOTHING” game.

Do whatever you CAN do right now with the resources you currently have, and the Universe will flow MORE resources your way.

Free Car From Blogging – Is My Wife Getting a New Car?

March 12, 2015 by Paul 4 Comments

In a previous post I wrote back on January 11th of this year I wrote that I want to build up the blog income from this new Blog to the point where I can get a free car from blogging.

That is my first goal that I’m working towards with my blog.

If you’ve been following my blog since the beginning of this year you may have also seen my two income reports – Blog Income Report January 2015 and Blog Income Report February 2015 – in which I share the current income I’m generating from my Blogging efforts.

In those reports I showed that my income is growing but I’m not quite yet at the point where I would be able to afford to pay for a car strictly with the extra income I’m generating from my Blog.

I’m making progress very quickly, but I’m not quite there yet.

However, my wife who also has a Blog and uses it to help people as an energy healer and psychic medium has also been putting focus on generating more money with her business so that she too can get a new car…

… and since she took the 21 day blogging challenge and has continued to blog more regularly on her blog, she has seen an increase in her business as well.

In fact she is very likely going to be getting a new car with the extra income she’s generating very soon – most likely before I get my new car.

That is the beauty of blogging.

It’s a powerful tool for people just getting started, but if you have an already established home-based business like my wife does, blogging more regularly can help to boost your income very quickly.

Blogging keeps our brand, our services and our energy fresh in the minds of our customers and potential new customers, allowing us to help them even more.

Also if you are part of a company like Empower Network, like my wife and I are, in addition to boosting your business income – Empower Network can also give you something that most home-based business owners don’t have access to – passive income!

Meaning, using my wife’s business as an example, she provides energy healing and psychic reading services to clients one-on-one or in group settings, and she loves her work, but the only downside to her business model before we joined Empower Network was that she had no passive income.

Before Empower Network, when she would work with clients, she would make money.

But if she was traveling or on vacation or not helping clients on a specific day or week, she wouldn’t be making money.

This is how most home-based businesses tend to run.

The beauty with implementing Empower Network into the mix is that now my wife has started to build up a passive income stream with Empower Network which is on top of her existing income as an energy healer and psychic.

She has already started to build a small team within Empower Network and the other great thing is that she is providing an even better service to her clients by referring them to Empower Network in situations where Empower Network is exactly what would help them to take their lives to the next level.

This creates a win-win scenario between her and her clients.

So what kind of car has she been eyeing?

She’s been looking at a 2015 Mazda 3 Sport GT, most likely in red.

Here’s what they look like:

Pretty sleek eh?

Why a Mazda 3?

Well, both my wife and I have had Mazda 3’s for over 10 years now and they’ve been great cars.

We have had very little problems with them, until recently.

Now that they’re over 10 years old, both my wife’s car and mine are starting to get to that stage where things need to start getting replaced and fixed which is why we’re both looking to upgrade.

We’ve never really been the type of people who buy new cars every 2-3 years, like most people seem to do, and it’s probably partly because of the fact that we both make money from home, so we don’t really drive as much as most people do having to go to and from work every day.

But since our cars are now getting up there in age and things look like they’re going to start breaking down, it’s time to invest in an upgrade. 🙂

It looks like my wife might be upgrading her car pretty soon from the extra income she’s already started to generate from her recent blogging efforts, and I’ll be doing the same pretty soon as well.

What about you?

What’s Your Dream Car?

If you had a Blog that could generate between $500 – $1500 in extra income for you each month, and that money could pay for your car payment for a new car, what type of car would you want to get?

What kind of new car would put a smile on YOUR face?

Leave a comment below and let me know.

P.s. Don’t forget to say what color your dream car would be as well. 🙂
