Blogging to Generate Leads for a Network Marketing Business

May 28, 2015 by Paul Leave a Comment

Are you struggling to generate leads for your network marketing business?

Wondering if blogging can help?

There are many different was to generate, or even buy leads for a network marketing business, but using a blog can be more effective than almost any other method of generating leads.

Here are a few reasons why…

Blogging Builds Rapport and Trust With Your Network Marketing Leads

There’s no shortage of lead companies out there trying to sell leads, or lead generation strategies that promise to deliver leads for your network marketing business.

However, the main challenge with buying leads or even generating them using various different methods outside of blogging is that those leads are essentially cold and you have absolutely no rapport with them.

The beauty of using blogging as a strategy for generating leads is that you get to build rapport and warm up your leads before you ever pitch them or try to sell them anything.

For example, let’s say that you are part of an MLM company that sells weight loss products and exercise programs.

Well, imagine if you wrote a blog post which shared 10 tips for relieving muscle cramping after working out.

Now imagine that someone out there was having muscle cramps after working out and they went on Google and searched for a solution and came across your blog.

Now imagine that this person read your article and used your tips to relieve the muscle cramping pain in their muscles.

Guess what?  You have now built a little bit of rapport with that person, without ever talking to them.  Your blog did it on your behalf!

This person might now feel like they trust you as someone who is at least partially an authority on working out and being fit.

Now, if this person sees a banner on your site or even reads other blog posts that you’ve written where you recommend a weight loss product or a fitness program that your company sells, that person will be MUCH more likely to be inclined to trust your recommendation than if they were just a cold lead who didn’t even know who you are.

In this way, your blog essentially acts as a silent sales person that never sleeps and constantly builds small one-on-one relationships with your readers.

Over time your readers begin to trust you more, like you more and they want to be around your energy.

So then if once in a while you email them or write a blog post promoting a product that your network marketing company sells, the likely hood of them being interested in buying that product is going to be much higher now that they know you a bit more, trust you a bit more and no longer see you as just a sales guy trying to sell them something.

Blogging Can Generate Leads Virtually For Free

Another great benefit to blogging as a method of generating leads for your network marketing business is that by blogging you can generate leads virtually for free.

As you begin to create blog content and you use a search engine optimized blogging platform like Kalatu, your blog posts will begin to start ranking in the search engines.

Search engines like Google have the ability to send you an incredible amount of free traffic, provided that your website is properly optimized for search engine rankings and your content is valuable to your readers.

If you write blog posts which focus on helping people to solve various problems they encounter in life, related to the products or services your network marketing company sells, you begin to develop a loyal following of readers.

As you do that, you’ll start to attract more and more loyal fans and those fans can then be turned into highly qualified, warm leads for your network marketing business.

And the beauty of this is that you can generate these leads very inexpensively, virtually for free, without having to buy leads at premium prices.

Blogging Can Help You Get More Familiar With Your Products

Another great benefit about blogging is that it can force you to learn about your network marketing company’s products in much more depth so that you can blog about them.

They say that if you really want to learn something, then teach it.

Well, blogging is very similar to that.

When you sit down to write about a product that your company has, you may find yourself doing a little bit more research to understand your products just a little bit more than you did before.

This is just something that we naturally tend to do as human beings, and this can be a great advantage to you.

Want to learn about a specific product or line of products your company is promoting?  Make a commitment to write a blog post or even a blog series related to that product.

You’ll see that you end up learning something new about that product or line of products so that you can blog about them.

Blogging Can Be a Fun Way to Generate Leads Especially for Introverted People

One of the best things about using blogging to generate leads for your network marketing company is that blogging is very introvert-friendly.

Yes there are other ways of going out there and finding people to prospect for your network marketing company, but chances are that if you’re an introverted person, all of those methods aren’t a lot of fun for you.

Going out there and prospecting people at shopping malls, grocery stores, elevators or just by walking around and talking to strangers may seem like a lot of fun for extroverted people, but for an introvert that’s just not going to work.

Blogging as a method of generating leads is WAY more fun for introverts.

We get to blog about our passions, and use our blogs to generate leads for our businesses, without ever having to leave the comfort of our home!

Here’s an example from just one of my network marketing funnels.

This month alone I’ve generated 778 visitors to my funnel, which resulted in 34 leads for my network marketing business and 11 sales.

I would much rather generate leads like these online using my blog, than to drive around town walking around shopping malls trying to talk to 778 people, hoping to get 34 phone numbers and 11 sales.

Wouldn’t you?

How to Get Started With Blogging to Generate Leads

Generating leads from blogging does require some skill and an understanding of how to do it properly.

You can’t just start a random blog and start blogging about what you ate for breakfast this morning and expect for highly targeted network marketing leads to somehow start popping out from a blog like that.

You need to be properly trained and you need the proper tools if you’re going to want to generate leads with your blog.

The absolutely best training I have ever seen specifically for learning how to generate leads by blogging and various other online methods comes from a company called the Empower Network.

I’ve been a member of Empower Network for over a year now and I highly recommend their training and blogging tools.

The Million Dollar Ring

May 28, 2015 by Paul 2 Comments

I’ve been doing some meditating lately on where I want to take my Blog and my Blogging business.

One of my initial goals and intentions with this Blog has been to inspire and help 108 people to make a six-figure income working from home.

This is one of the reasons why I started doing blog income reports at the beginning of this year and continue to do them every month.

If you haven’t seen my blog income reports, you can find them here for January, February, March and April.

By doing these income reports, among many other things,  I know that if I haven’t already, I’ll start to inspire some people to take something they’re passionate about and build a Blogging business around it.

Today, however, I decided to take things to the next level.

I’ve decided to set my sights on the Empower Network Million Dollar Ring.

Here’s a picture of what it looks like:

The Empower Network Million Dollar Ring is awarded to those in Empower Network who earn at least 1 million dollars in commissions.

In addition to that, I also want to help 9 others to get their Million Dollar Rings as well.

I know that by accomplishing this goal, we will most likely jointly help a LOT more than 108 people become 6-figure earners as well.

If you’d like to join me on this journey to earning your Million Dollar Ring, you can get started by clicking here.

(Notice: Results not typical.  See my income disclosure for more info.)

Kalatu Premium 7 Minute Blog Hacks Review

May 26, 2015 by Paul Leave a Comment

With the release of the new Kalatu Premium blogging platform, I wanted to do a review of just one of the key features included with the package.

The feature I’m referring to is called 7 Minute Blog Hacks.

Now you might wondering, what the heck are 7 Minute Blog Hacks?

7 Minute Blog Hacks is a series of training videos that are designed to help you take your blogging skillset to the next level in short, easily consumable 7 minute segments.

Each 7 minute video is going to teach you a new blogging skill, and at the same time give you direct, actionable action steps to take right after you learn the new skill to help you improve your blog.

The 7 Minute Blog Hacks will be broken down into four main categories.

7 Minute Blog Hacks

The first category in the 7 Minute Blog Hacks category is going to be blog hacks which is essentially a series of training videos which show you how to make small little hacks to your Blog, or your theme, or your plugins, to accomplish new things that you didn’t even know where possible with your blog.

For example in one of the first videos I watched in this series, I learned how to “hack” the lightbox feature in Kalatu to display any website or a lead capture page or even a video in a lightbox pop-up that can be displayed when people first arrive on your website or after a certain amount of time.

This is just one example but there will be a lot more “hacks” to help you take your blogging to the next level.

7 Minute Traffic Hacks

The next category is called 7 Minute Traffic Hacks which is a series of training videos which teaches you hacks related to generating traffic to your blog.

7 Minute Traffic Hacks

As an example, one of the first videos I watched in this series teaches you how to perform very basic keyword research to help your blog posts rank better in the search engines.

Once again, all this training is broken down into very short, 7 minute segments which you can take action on immediately.

7 Minute Sales Hacks

The next category is called 7 Minute Sales Hacks which is a series of training videos which teaches you hacks related to generating more sales with your blog.

The first video in this series of hacks is going to teach us How to Get Great Testimonials.

7 Minute Media Hacks

The last category is called 7 Minute Media Hacks which is a series of training videos which teaches you hacks related to creating media content for your blog.

The first video in this series that I watched taught me how to create great looking quote and meme images for free in just a few seconds which I can use for my blog posts or on my social media sites.

How Often Will 7 Minute Blog Hacks Be Released?

Kalatu Premium users will be getting access to one new 7 Minute Blog Hack every single week.

This will allow you to make small but regular improvements to your blog every single week with just 7 minutes of time invested into learning what to do.

I think this is going to be an awesome way to help Kalatu Premium users to improve their blogs without feeling overwhelmed with too much information and too many changes to try to implement at once.

This way you can just set aside 7 to 15 minutes every week to watch the training and implement what was being taught and take your blog to the next level with a stream of constant, never-ending improvement!

My Initial Review of 7 Minute Blog Hacks

My first impressions of 7 Minute Blog Hacks is very favorable even though there are only a few blog hacks in each of the four categories so far.

It’s going to be very exciting to see a new 7 Minute Blog Hack showing up each week, and I think as time goes on the value from this Kalatu Premium feature is just going to continue to increase.

Meaning, with a new “hack” released every single week, in 6 months there will be 26 new 7 Minute Blog Hacks that you will be getting access to as a Kalatu Premium member.

The other benefit of this feature is that the Kalatu community is going to be listening to feedback from it’s premium members to determine which types of hacks to create videos for.

So for example if a lot of people in the community are wondering how to optimize the banners on your blog, or how to get more traffic to your Blog from Twitter, then those types of questions might be answered in upcoming 7 Minute Blog Hacks.

I think this is a great idea, and I can’t wait to see how the Kalatu team executes on it.

Are You Too Good to Be Successful?

May 22, 2015 by Paul 2 Comments

“Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do.” ~ Jim Rohn

One of the key elements to achieving success in any area of your life comes from fostering an attitude of staying humble, grateful and serving others.

If there was one attitude that I have seen destroy a person’s chances of achieving success more than any other it would be the attitude of thinking that you are too good to do certain things.

As an entrepreneur I value my time and I outsource certain tasks that are not my strength to others who are much better than I am at doing those tasks…

However, I don’t have an attitude of “Oh I’m too good to do that” like some people do.  Instead I foster an attitude of gratitude for others who help me by doing the things that are not my strength.

For example, my wife and I are both entrepreneurs and in the last few years we have started to outsource our house cleaning to professionals who can do a much better job at it than we can.

My strength doesn’t lie in cleaning my house, so I prefer to hire someone else to do that for me while I focus on the things I AM good at such as making money online.

However, even though I have someone who comes to clean my home, I don’t see myself as “too good” or “above” doing that kind of work.

Instead I am grateful for the work of people who do help me with those tasks, and sometimes I do roll up my sleeve and do some cleaning myself.

In business, there are certain tasks that I outsource or hire out to other people, but once again I don’t have an attitude of thinking that I’m “too good” to do that.

Sometimes when people get into a business, their minds create these rules and labels where they start to think that they are too good to do certain things in that business just because at their last job or business they didn’t have to do those things.

This is a huge mistake.

To be successful you have to look at what is required in your business to achieve success and then find a way to get those things done.

If you can outsource those things that are not your strengths, then do that, but if you don’t have the funds or the means to outsource certain things then just roll up your sleeves and get things done!

Especially in a new business venture, you may need to suck it up and do certain things that you don’t really enjoy doing or would prefer not to do, for a period of time.

One of the reasons that I often see young people get into businesses online and achieve success very quickly is because they’re willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.

This is usually because their current job or the jobs they previously worked are entry level jobs where they had to do everything from dealing with angry customers to cleaning up puke in the bathrooms.

I’ve done my share of that kind of stuff when I used to work at McDonald’s way back in the 1990’s.

Compared to having to put up with doing that kind of work, it’s pretty easy and fun to do any kind of work when working on an online business.

For example, blogging on a regular basis is EASY compared to working at McDonald’s and cleaning up puke in the bathrooms, right?

Now, contrast that with some people who have been working in the corporate world for 20 or 30 years and who have worked their way up to a cushy job where they basically just go to work and put in their 8 hours – mostly surfing the Internet during that whole time – and when those types of people try to start their own business they start to think that they’re too good to do certain things.

Don’t get me wrong, having 20-30 years of real life work experience CAN be a HUGE asset for someone who is starting a brand new business, but only if they approach their entrepreneurial venture with an attitude of being willing to do what it takes to succeed.

Any sense of entitlement, or feeling like you’re “too good” to do certain things will destroy your entrepreneurial chances for success.

You’re not going to have to do things that you don’t enjoy doing forever, but you MAY need to be willing to do certain things for a period of time until you get to the next level in your business.

Be willing to do that.

Be willing to DO whatever it takes to make your business successful.

Don’t let your pride and this sense of “Oh I’m too good to be doing that kind of stuff again…” kill your chances at success.

Have you ever worked with an employee who felt this way about their job?  Like they’re too good to do certain things?

Have you ever tried to coach or mentor someone in business who had this type of “Oh I’m too good for this” attitude?

Have you ever found yourself thinking this way?

Leave a comment below and let me know.  I’d love to hear your comments on this.

How to Stay Motivated to Keep Blogging Long Term

May 17, 2015 by Paul 3 Comments

I started blogging in April of 2006.

If there is one question that I have been asked more times about blogging than any other question it would be this:

“Paul, how the heck do you stay motivated to keep blogging?”

I’ve seen SO many people get excited about blogging, launch their blogs, full of energy and hope and a desire to change the world, and then completely fizzle out after just a few weeks or at the most a few months.

I find it absolutely fascinating to talk to people and hear the excuses they come up with for not continuing to blog.

I use the word “excuses” because that’s all they are.

I’ve heard them all, and I’ve pretty much USED them all myself as well at some point in my blogging career!

But you know what?

In all of my years of blogging, there is only ONE DIFFERENCE that I have seen between bloggers who continue to blog on a regular basis long term and those who quit after a few weeks or months…

That’s it… just ONE DIFFERENCE!

Do you want to know what it is?

I’ll tell you, but chances are if you’re like most of the bloggers I have revealed this to, you won’t believe me.

If you’re like most bloggers, you’ll argue that you’re different, that this ONE THING doesn’t apply to you for some reason, and then a few weeks or months later you’ll end up quitting blogging.

This one thing is a mindset shift that I have seen ALL successful bloggers have, and I believe it is THE differentiating factor.

So what is it?

The one difference between successful bloggers who keep blogging and those who give up is that the successful bloggers are not ashamed, not afraid and do not feel guilty about MAKING MONEY with their blogs.

That’s it.

That’s the ONE difference.

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been part of the “Lightworker” community for so long now or what but you won’t believe how many times I have heard the words “But Paul, I don’t want to make money with my blog.  I just want to help people.   I want to share the knowledge and wisdom I’ve learned about stuff and I want to share it with people.  I don’t care if my blog makes money.”

That’s a pile of bullshit.

I’m sorry, but it is.

You *DO* want your blog to make money, but you’re just afraid to admit it because somewhere along the way you were programmed to believe that you shouldn’t charge someone money for doing something you enjoy / love doing.

You’re afraid that if people come to your blog and read your content and they see that you’re making money from your blog that somehow that’s going to soil your “reputation”.

As if making money with your blog was some kind of dirty deed or something!

Let me ask you something… if you had to have brain surgery tomorrow, and you found out that your brain surgeon gets paid for doing brain surgeries, would you think to yourself “oh, what a crappy brain surgeon…I bet he doesn’t even care about saving people’s lives… he must be in this just for the money because I found out he’s actually getting paid to do this”????

No, you probably wouldn’t, right?

If you needed help from a police officer would you say to them, “Wait, hold on… do you get paid to be a police officer?  Wait, what?!  You get paid!?  Oh, that means you don’t actually do this to help people, you’re just doing this for the money… you scum!”???

No, you probably wouldn’t, right?

Would you judge a teacher who gets paid to teach for a living as doing something wrong just because they get paid to teach?

No, you probably wouldn’t, right?

Would you judge a firefighter who gets paid to fight fires as doing something wrong just because they get paid to fight those fires?

No, you probably wouldn’t, right?

For some weird reason, that I still don’t understand though, when it comes to blogging I have seen so many people SCARED to admit that they want to make money from their blogs.

I don’t really get it.

Just get over yourself already.

It’s OKAY to make money as a blogger.

There’s nothing wrong with it, and a LOT of things RIGHT with it!

First of all, you have to realize that there is a COST to you and your family for you to blog.

You’re investing your time and energy and resources to create blog content on a regular basis.

You DESERVE to make money for those efforts.

See, here’s the thing…

People ask me how I stay motivated to blog…

The answer is simple… I stay motivated to blog because blogging puts MONEY in my family’s pocket!!!

See, sooner or later, if your blog is NOT making you any money, you’re going to run into a situation where you have to decide to invest an hour of your time writing your next blog post or watching the latest season of your favorite show on Netflix…

… and if your blog is not making you any money, your mind will just think “Meh, blog can wait, it’s Netflix time!”

Or sooner or later, if your blog is NOT making you any money, you’re going to run into a situation where you have to decide to invest an hour of your time writing your next blog post or spend an hour doing something else that DOES make you money…

… and once again you’ll probably pick the thing that makes you money, such as working overtime at your job or taking on some extra part-time work.

Now, let’s look at it from a different perspective.

Imagine that your blog IS making you money every single month and your blogging income is growing.

Do you think you would be maybe just a LITTLE bit more motivated to write a blog post instead of watching Netflix if your blog was making you $1,000 cash every month?

Do you think that your spouse would be a LITTLE bit more supportive of you taking some time to write your next blog post if your blog was paying for your next vacation?

Do you think that you might be a LITTLE bit more likely to push through any “writers block” excuses you might have if you knew that your blog was going to help you get a free car paid for by your blog?

So what motivates the top bloggers out there to keep blogging day in and day out, regardless of the obstacles that come up in their way?

The same thing that motivates YOU to wake up at 7am on weekdays and battle traffic to get your ass to your job…

… MONEY!

It’s as simple as that.

Unless you’re already completely financially independent… like it or not, MONEY is a HUGE motivating force in your life.

If your boss came to you tomorrow and told you that unfortunately starting tomorrow you aren’t going to get paid to do your job anymore, how much longer do you think you’d be “motivated” to go to work?

You’d quit in 2 seconds.

It’s the same with blogging… if you make money with your blog, you’ll stay motivated… if you LIE to yourself and try to pretend that you’re Mother Theresa and that you don’t care about money, you’ll end up giving up.

(Incidentally, even Mother Theresa understood the need for money and raised INCREDIBLE amounts of money for her charity.  So even she didn’t pretend like money wasn’t important.  She constantly focused on raising money for her charitable work.)

Now, I’m not saying that ALL you care about is money.

That’s not true.

Money is actually kind of a useless thing…just pieces of paper or numbers on some computer screen.

It’s not actually money that motivates us, but rather the things we can DO with the money we manifest!

When you make $50 with your Blog, you can use some of that money to fund micro-loans in 3rd world countries!

When you make $500 with your Blog, you can invest into better blogging equipment (camera, lighting, etc.) and produce even BETTER content for your audience.

When you make $1000 with your Blog, you can pay off a debt you owe and relieve some stress from you and your spouse.

When you start making $500/m with your Blog, you can hire a cleaner to help clean your home so that you can focus on more important things like creating MORE awesome content for the world.

When you make $5,000 with your Blog, you can take your family on a vacation!

The things you can do with the money you make blogging are infinite!

And it is those THINGS…. funding that micro-loan, or getting that better equipment for your blog, or paying off that debt, or hiring that cleaner or taking your family on a vacation that will MOTIVATE you to keep blogging!

Get it?

You BLOG to share your wisdom and to help the world… I get it.

But you also have to accept the fact that if you want to REALLY help the world as a Blogger you need to start making MONEY from Blogging so that you can do all those things I mentioned above and MORE and so that 5 years from now you’re still blogging!

You need to get your blog to the point where it’s making you so much money that you can quit your job and Blog full time.

You need to get your blog to the point where it’s making you so much money that you can pay off ALL your debts, including your mortgage so that you can experience the feeling of what it feels like to be debt-free and so that you can blog from a place of having that raised energetic vibration.

You need to get your blog to the point where it’s making you so much money that you can invest in the things you believe in… projects, charities, organizations, causes, people…whatever you believe in!

But it all starts with first learning how to MONETIZE your blog properly and what it really takes to make money as a Blogger.

And that is why I highly recommend utilizing the Kalatu blogging platform and training system which has a proven track record of helping bloggers to monetize their blogs.

Nobody can guarantee that you’ll make money as a blogger, but having a platform like Kalatu and access to the Kalatu community and training is the first step to becoming a successful blogger.
