The Number One Reason You Can Make Your Dreams Come True

Sometimes I have these weird moments where a strange thought pops into my mind and I’m like “Woa… that’s crazy…”

This evening I was out for dinner with my wife, eating at this small Fish’n’Chips place near our house that recently opened up, and suddenly this thought popped into my mind…

It was a realization that we were sitting there, and eating at a restaurant that started out as someone’s dream!

I am pretty sure that the lady that served us is the owner or the wife of the owner, so that Fish’n’Chips place was/is their dream…

…and my wife and I were sitting INSIDE their dream, eating the fish and chips that they dreamed up the recipe for and it was delicious.

Then I started thinking that we are SURROUNDED by and living and enjoying not just ours but other people’s dreams as well.

The car we drive in, was someone’s dream! Maybe it was a group of people, but before the car was ever created it had to first be dreamed up.

The computer or mobile device or tablet that you’re on right now, reading this post, was at one point someone’s dream.

When you go to eat at any restaurant, that restaurant started off as a dream and now it is reality.

And when you eat at a restaurant, there’s a chef there that cooks your food, and becoming a chef was their dream at some point as well.

And that chef probably went to culinary school, and they were taught by a culinary school teacher, and that teacher also had a dream… his dream was to teach chefs.

And the school that the teacher taught at, and the chef studied at, well that school was someone’s dream as well!

And the construction crew that built the school is owned by someone who once had a dream to run his own construction company.

Everything around us, was once a dream.

And then SOMEONE made it a reality.

And you know what?

I bet that this someone who made that thing a reality had to face certain obstacles before their dream was realized.

They probably faced doubt, criticism, challenges, struggles and setbacks along the way towards achieving their dream.

But you know what? In the end, they MUST have prevailed and made their dreams come true, otherwise whatever that thing is wouldn’t exist.

How inspiring is that?!

Any time we open our eyes and look around, all around us we can see REALIZED dreams from people who dared to dream, and then made those dreams come true.

So ask yourself this question…

If almost EVERYTHING around us was once someone’s DREAM and then that person or group of people found a way to REALIZE those dreams – making them a reality – then why not you?

If THEY can do it, then you can do it too!

You can do it.

You can make your dreams come true.

MLM Industry Stats You Probably Didn’t Know

Most people look at the MLM / Network Marketing / Direct Selling industry as a sort of “hobby” thing that some people do after hours or on weekends as a way to “get rich quick” by getting lucky and finding out about some new company before anyone else does.

Some people even look at the whole MLM industry as a joke.

The fact is though that the direct selling industry is no joke.

It’s one of the most successful industries in the world, with a proven track record and strong growth especially in the last four years when a lot of other industries have been hit with an economic downturn.

The Direct Selling Association reports the following statistics for the 2013 Estimated Total Direct Retail Sales in the United States alone in the industry:

2009 Total Sales = $28,330,000,000
2010 Total Sales = $28,560,000,000
2011 Total Sales = $29,870,000,000
2012 Total Sales = $31,630,000,000
2013 Total Sales = $32,670,000,000

What this basically shows it that the industry has grown by $4.34 BILLION dollars in just 4 years. That’s an average of more than 1 BILLION dollars in growth per year!

Just to offer a comparison in terms of numbers, if we look at the entire MOVIE industry for example, the total box office sales in 2013 in US and Canada together were only $10.9 Billion.

That means that the “MLM thing” that most uninformed people make fun of is three times bigger than the movie industry!

Now, these are just US numbers. What about GLOBAL numbers?

Well, here’s some GLOBAL stats that might surprise you.

Total Global Sales for 2012:

Music Industry – $16.5 Billion
Video Gaming Industry – $67 Billion
Movie Industry – $80 Billion
Network Marketing – $167 Billion!!!

This means that the Network Marketing industry worldwide in 2012 was larger then the entire Music and Video Gaming and Movie Industries COMBINED.

Surprised?

Most people are.

Why is that though?

I think the main reason for this is because the network marketing industry is the ONLY industry out of those four listed above which offers ordinary, regular people with no previous experience the opportunity to start their own business.

The fact is that the MLM / Network Marketing industry always has a large percentage of it’s members as brand NEW distributors who just got started recently and who haven’t yet been properly trained on how to be professional network marketers.

These brand new distributors join an MLM and 24 hours later they’re out there trying to SELL the products that their company offers and to sponsor others into their business as well.

There’s nothing wrong with that, except for the fact that MOST of these people do not come from a professional marketing or sales background and so their ability to properly prospect, build rapport and to tactfully SELL their prospects on the products that the company offers is virtually non-existent.

Basically, the vast majority of MLM distributors STINK AT SALES!

They DON’T know how to properly sell to people in a way that makes the people feel comfortable and at ease, and so the process of being approached by a network marketer often turns out being awkward and maybe even annoying.

Some network marketers really don’t know what they’re doing when they first get started, and so they resort to crazy spammy tactics that give the industry a bad rep.

It is the behavior of THESE types of individuals, who don’t take the time to get properly trained and who don’t invest in themselves and their skill-set which gives the whole industry this stigma of being somewhat “unprofessional”.

However, things ARE quickly changing.

People are now really starting to realize that just signing up for an MLM and then trying to SPAM your warm market list and ATTACK them with an onslaught of phone calls, “party” invites, text messages, emails and facebook chat spamming is NOT the way to build your business.

There IS a much better way and people are starting to realize that.

New strategies and systems have been built, such as the Kalatu Brand Station technology and the Top Producer Formula and Team Builder Formula training products from Empower Network, which arm MLM distributors with the proper tools and training they need to be able to generate leads and sales in their MLM, as well as building a strong team that duplicates.

No longer are MLM distributors limited to the often outdated and very primitive training that is provided by their MLM company itself.

Network Marketers can now invest in a professional education and become Network Marketing Professionals who give the industry a GOOD name, instead of a bad one.

It may take a few years for the stigma of some of the older, unprofessional methods that were used in the past to disappear, but I believe that one the industry becomes known for it’s professional reps, the sales numbers I reported earlier are going to SKYROCKET even higher!

It’s no wonder that Warren Buffet and Donald Trump are such big fans of his industry.

They KNOW where it’s going. 🙂

3 Reasons Why All MLM Distributors Need a Blog

The world of multi-level marketing or as it’s often referred to as network marketing has bone through a HUGE shift in the last few years.

MLM distributors who are trying to build their businesses using purely offline tactics are struggling like never before.

Most network marketers WANT to embrace the Internet and learn how to use the Internet to help them grown their business, but they just don’t know how.

Some start by searching for leads, and they find all kinds of online systems that are supposedly selling qualified “mlm leads”, but when they actually spend money one them and try to follow up with them and convert them to customers or distributor, they are incredibly disappointed when most of those people don’t buy.

Buying MLM leads in most cases is just a waste of time.

Most of the companies selling these low-quality leads are selling junk. Half the people you’ll call on these lists will not even know how they got ON the list in the first place.

Some of them will yell at you and most of them are completely non-responsive.

In a recent blog post I wrote, I explain what I believe to be the best way to get MLM leads and that is by starting a Blog.

Today, I wanted to dive into this a bit more and give you three reasons why all distributors need a blog, and once you watch this video and realize how a Blog can help you grow your business, you’ll understand why I’m such a big advocate for blogging.

Most MLM companies nowadays offer their reps a pre-made replicated website.

However, what most reps don’t realize is that these sites are pretty much useless in terms of generating customers, or distributors for their business.

The reason why is because Google does NOT show duplicate content on their search engine, so if you are a distributor with a replicated website, your site looks exactly the same as 20,000 other sites out there, and Google will NOT send you any traffic.

Which basically means your website is pretty much invisible.

No wonder you’re not generating any customers or distributor with your online website – it’s invisible to the search engines!

Whereas if you setup your own Blog and start creating content, you will start to develop a following of prospects who may eventually become customers or distributors in your business.

16 Personality Types – Which One Are You?

Did you know that there are 16 personality types?

There are 4 major types – the “Analysts”, the “Diplomats”, the “Sentinels”, and the “Explorers”.

And then within each of the 4 major types of personalities, there are 4 sub-types within each one, for a total of 16 personality types.

Each personality type is a combination of four pairs of personality traits.

The four personality train pairs are:

Introversion (I) or Extraversion (E)
Intuition (N) or Sensing (S)
Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)
Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)

From these four pairs, the possible combinations become:

Analysts

INTJ
INTP
ENTJ
ENTP

Diplomats

INFJ
INFP
ENFJ
ENFP

Sentinels

ISTJ

How to Determine Your Personality Type

There’s a really cool, free online personality test available at 16 Personalities that you can take to determine which of the 16 personalities you are.

It takes less than 12 minutes to complete the test and everyone I know who has taken the test swears by it’s accuracy.

When I took the test I found out I was an INTP personality type.

The cool thing about the website is that it also gives you a much more detailed analysis of what that personality type means.

For example, the website gives you an analysis of your strengths and weaknesses generally speaking in every area of life, as well as what your personality type generally behaves like in relationships, friendships, as a parent, on their career path and your workplace habits.

It’s pretty amazing how dead-on the personality typing really is.

You can learn a lot about yourself, and how and why you behave certain ways by understanding your personality type.

16 Personality Types And Blogging

One of the cool things about figuring out what your personality type is, is that you can gain a lot more clarity as to what kind of blog to start.

Meaning, one of the key differentiating factors to YOUR Blog, which can make it very successful, will be YOUR personality.

For example, the INTP personality type that I have is pretty rare. They say less than 3% of the population are INTPs.

That means that even if there were 100 Bloggers out there writing the exact same blog posts on the exact same topics as me, 97% of them would write from a completely different perspective than I would because their personalities are different.

What this also means is that if you have any doubts or reservations about your ability to build a successful blog, because you’re worried that maybe there’s too much competition out there, stop worrying about that.

There are VERY FEW successful bloggers out there who are going to have the exact same personality type as you, and who are going to be blogging on the exact same topics as you.

Then if you factor in the fact that everyone has a different set of reference experiences in their life, and you start to realize that there really is NO COMPETITION out there for you!

In other words, there’s NOBODY out there like YOU, with the exact same opinions as you, with the exact same personality type etc.

The other thing is that most bloggers out there are NOT aware of their personality type, and so many of them struggle because they are trying to COPY someone else’s blogging style.

For example, I love a lot of the stuff that Gary Vaynerchuk does, and I watch his videos and read his blog posts.

He’s an awesome guy.

However, Gary has a completely different personality type from me.

So even though I think a lot of the stuff that he does is just awesome, I would completely fall flat on my face if I tried to COPY him exactly.

I can learn from him, and I can apply what he teaches in my own way, that is congruent with MY personality type, but if I try to COPY him exactly – trying to pretend that I have the same personality as he does – I’ll seem completely unauthentic to my audience and I won’t ENJOY the process of Blogging.

You can’t pretend to be someone you’re not.

That is why I think it’s a great idea to find out what YOUR personality type is, and then to study your strengths and weaknesses and then use that information to help you become a better blogger.

16 Personality Types and Your MLM Team

Another area where knowing your personality type can be of great value is when you’re building a team inside an MLM organization.

Knowing YOUR personality type and the personality types of your team-mates can help you better understand them and what motivates THEM.

In most cases, what motivates YOU and what motivates your team-mates will NOT be the same thing.

For example, there are certain personality types who just LOVE social gatherings.

So for example if you are building an MLM team, and you have someone on your team who is that personality type, and you’re thinking of putting together a team event, like a pot-luck or any type of social gathering, those people will most likely ENJOY putting that event together more than other personality types like mine for example.

In my life I almost NEVER put on and organize social events. That is my wife’s specialty.

She ENJOYS doing it because it matches her personality type. It doesn’t match mine, so I do NOT enjoy doing it.

By knowing who you are, and who everyone on your team is, you can become a much better leader and team-mate.

If you really want to dive into understanding the 16 personality types, you’ll want to pickup this book called “Please Understand Me II” by David Keirsey.

It’s not as “pretty” as the 16 personality types website, but it does go into a lot of depth on teach of the personality types and the interactions between them.

I bought the book about 8 years ago, when I was still working in the corporate world, and once I realized that all of my employees had completely different personalities than me, I started to better understand them.

Instead of getting frustrated with how they would act or think or what would and wouldn’t motivate them, I started to UNDERSTAND them.

This was a HUGE “aha” moment for me as a manager.

The same awareness can be applied to Blogging, or building a team within an MLM company or even your relationships with your spouse, family, friends etc.
