17 Magic Phrases That Will Satisfy Your Client’s Logic Center and Boost Your Sales

January 30, 2015 by Paul 3 Comments

There’s a really funny fact about how human beings make decisions…

That fact is that human beings make decisions based on EMOTION, but they justify those decisions with LOGIC.

The reason why is because we live in a society which is in complete denial about this and it makes fun of people who make emotional decisions.

In other words, these three facts are at odds with each other in our daily lives:

  1. Fact #1 – Human beings are WIRED to make decisions primarily based on emotions and feelings.
  2. Fact #2 – Modern society tries to convince us that LOGICAL decisions are smart decisions and emotional decisions are STUPID.
  3. Fact #3 – Most people don’t like feeling stupid, they prefer feeling smart.

Can you see how this creates an issue?

You’re basically a human being, that is wired a certain way – essentially wired to make emotional decisions – and you’re living on a planet that as a society pretends that LOGICAL decisions are smart and EMOTIONAL decisions are stupid.

And the crazy thing is that we’ve all bought into this lie, and so how do we cope with it?

Well, the strategy for dealing with this that most people utilize is this:

  1. Make a decision about something…. emotionally, based primarily on your feelings.
  2. Gather LOGICAL facts about the situation to JUSTIFY the emotional decision you just made, and if anyone asks, produce those logical facts to “back up” why you made the decision.

Meaning, for example, if a go to a car dealership and I see this one car that just makes me feel AMAZING… like when I sit down inside of it I feel totally excited and exhilarated and I imagine myself driving that car and just feeling AMAZING inside it… I may in that moment make my decision to buy it.

Boom… the decision is MADE.  My brain has already decided.

BUT, that doesn’t mean that I actually buy the car in that instant.

Instead, my mind goes into a pattern of thinking that sounds a bit like this…

“Okay, I fricken WANT this car.  It’s SO NICE!  Hmmm… but wait… I don’t even know what model this is… or how much it costs… or what the gas efficiency is, or what all the features are… hmmm… if I were to buy this right now without first figuring out all that stuff, and my friends and family saw me come home with this car and I didn’t know any of those things, they would make fun of me!”

So the sales guy walks over and asks you what you think about the car, and you pretend to be all LOGICAL about it…

“Oh, yeah…it’s a nice car… but what kind of gas efficiency does it have?”

And then the sales guy tells you that… and you PRETEND like what he’s saying plays into your decision, but in reality the decision has already been made, and now you’re just gathering “Facts”.

“Oh, that’s good right?  Well, what kind of financing option do you guys actually offer on this?”

And then the sales guy tells you all about the financing options and why they are the BEST options for you…. and again you PRETEND like what he’s saying plays into your decision, but in reality the decision has already been made, and now you’re just gathering “Facts”.

We play this DANCE with the sales reps gathering FACTS, up until the point where in your mind you think to yourself “Okay… I *THINK* I’ve got enough facts gathered here, so that if I come home and one of my family members asks me about this or my brother in law asks me about this, I can throw all these facts at them and PRETEND like it was a totally LOGICAL decision that made total sense, and I THINK I’ve got enough facts here that they’ll buy it…. that they’ll believe that I made a logical decision, so that they don’t think I’m STUPID.”

We *ALL* do this.

Heck, when I bought THIS house that I live in right now, my wife and I DECIDED to buy the house about 15 seconds after parking our cars and walking through the front gate.

We walked onto the property and withing 15 seconds we looked at each other and smiled…the DECISION was already made.

At that point we hadn’t even seen the inside of the house!!!

We hadn’t seen ANYTHING…

… and of course, since it’s a HUGE decision to buy a house for almost a million dollars, we didn’t tell the realtor “We’ll take it.”

No, we went inside, looked around, I took a crap-load of photos, we then went home and thought about it, then we came back a second time for a second look, and then we compared other properties in the area, and then we got a house inspection so that we would have “Logical Back Up” to prove to anyone that may ask that this was a SMART decision.

Once we got to the point where we went through all the “Logical Back Up” in our minds to prove to us that this was a smart investment and a great house for us, we made an offer and bought the house.

And of course if ANYONE ever asked us about the purchase, like as to WHY we bought it, we would start talking about all the LOGICAL reasons it made sense. 🙂

That’s what people do!

How to Satisfy Your Client’s Logic Center

Okay, so if we know that clients make emotional decisions, but they back up those decisions with LOGIC, how do we deal with that?

Well, here’s the best way to look at the situation.

You’ve got this client in front of you… and you have to visualize them going home after making the decision to buy whatever it is you’re selling, and when they go home their annoying brother-in-law or sister-in-law is going to come for a visit.

And this client’s brother-in-law or sister-in-law is one of those people that is just really annoying and they like to argue and analyze every decision that the person makes to try to prove to them that they made the wrong decision – and that they acted on emotion and impulse, instead of LOGIC.

And YOUR JOB as the “Sales Person”, is NOT really to help your client make that decision —- because remember, they’ve ALREADY DECIDED!!!! —- your job is to simply give them enough “LOGICAL AMMO” to shut their brother-in-law or sister-in-law UP!

In other words, you’ve got to help them JUSTIFY the decision they’ve already made with logic.

So how do we do that?

Well, the interesting thing is that people actually have a hard time separating information into EMOTIONAL DATA vs LOGICAL DATA.

Meaning, if you’re telling the client certain information about your product, a lot of times the client doesn’t know if the information you are telling them falls under the “Logical” column or the “Emotional” column.

For example, going back to the car situation, if the sales person says “This car can go from 0 to 60 in 7 seconds…”

The client’s mind tries to process that and think “Wait…is that a good thing? Is that a logical reason to buy the car?  Or is this an emotional thing?”

And if the mind doesn’t KNOW, then the information that you told the client just gets filed under the “Unknown” category in their mind, and that means that they don’t yet know enough LOGICAL information to justify their buying decision.

Now, here’s the challenge…

What if you’re TELLING the client certain LOGICAL reasons why the decision IS in fact a great decision for them, but their mind isn’t labeling that information as LOGICAL?

Well, when that happens, you can spend ten hours talking to the client and giving them a TONNE of “LOGICAL AMMO” to shut their critics up, BUT if their mind is not receiving that information as LOGIC, then it won’t work… they’ll WANT to buy the thing from you, but they just won’t have enough logical data yet to hold up to the scrutiny that they imagine they’ll be put through.

And here’s the bad news…

… if a client imagines having their decision scrutinized by someone – be in their husband or wife or brother-in-law or whoever – and they imagine FEELING STUPID… then in the majority of cases, they will NOT buy whatever it is that you’re selling, because the benefits of whatever you are selling don’t outweigh them feeling stupid!

Make sense?

So…here’s what you have to do…

  1. You MUST give your clients enough logical ammo / information to justify their buying decision.
  2. You MUST help the client REALIZE that the information you gave them falls under the “LOGICAL” category.

In other words, you not only have to give your client enough logical information to justify the decision, but you have to essentially POINT OUT the fact that this is LOGICAL information you’re giving them, when giving it to them.

Now, you can’t just say to the client…“Hey, Mr. Client… Since you’re a human being like the rest of us, and because I’m a sales professional that has studied human psychology, I *know* that you’ve already made an emotional decision to buy this car… and I know that you just need some logical facts to back up your decision so that you don’t look like an idiot in front of your brother-in-law…so here are some logical facts that you can use to shut him up.”

NO!  Don’t do this!

Remember, the client is NOT just trying to hide the fact that they make EMOTIONAL decisions from their brother-in-law or their spouse…they’re ALSO trying to hide the fact from YOU!!!!

They don’t want YOU – the sales guy – to think that they are STUPID either!

So you have to play the game…

… you have to PRETEND like they are making a logical decision here…:)

So how do we do that?

How do we tell the client logical facts that they can use to justify their decision, while at the same time making sure that the client labels that fact in their mind as a “LOGICAL” reason to buy?

Well, interestingly enough, a lot of it has to do with language patterns.

There are certain WORDS and phrases that our minds are conditioned to listen for when trying to decide if the information is LOGICAL or EMOTIONAL.

So what are these words and phrases?

17 Phrases That Satisfy Your Client’s Logic Center

  1. Fact! (Then make your statement)
  2. Look, here’s the bottom line… (Then make your statement)
  3. Scientific Fact: (Then make your statement)
  4. Proven Fact: (Then make your statement)
  5. Listen to / Read these facts carefully: (Then make your statement)
  6. Here’s a(n) (interesting) fact for you: (Then make your statement)
  7. Absolute fact! (Then make your statement)
  8. This fact is verified by… (Then make your statement)
  9. Want more proof? (Then make your statement)
  10. Face it… (Then make your statement)
  11. This statement is supported by … (Then make your statement)
  12. Many studies have already proven that… (Then make your statement)
  13. The future will prove this fact… (Then make your statement)
  14. Studies will soon prove that… (Then make your statement)
  15. A new study by (insert who) proved that… (Then make your statement)
  16. Pure fact! (Then make your statement)
  17. Experts agree… (Then make your statement)

You’ll probably notice that a lot of these phrases use the word “fact” in them.

The reason for this is because the word “fact” is programmed into our minds in such a way that it elicits a pattern where you brain labels whatever information that is shared after hearing that word as FACTS and FACTS are logical.

Meaning, for example if I say this…

“This car has the best fuel economy…” your mind may or may not label that as a LOGICAL reason to buy the car… because it’s unclear whether or not this information is my opinion or if it is in fact the best car with the best fuel economy…

but if I say this…

“Want to hear an interesting fact?  This car has the best fuel economy of any car in it’s class…” your mind is MUCH more likely to assume that this information is LOGICAL, and not an opinion.

It’s just what the mind does when it hears the word “FACT” injected into the sentence.

So, in order to HELP your client to be able to logically justify an emotional decision they already made, you MUST become aware of things like this and help them out by labeling your facts as facts!

Meaning, if you know some facts about the product you’re selling, and they are in fact FACTS then make sure you point that out to your clients mind by using these types of phrases.

If for example, the product you’re selling was just voted as the best product by such and such magazine or some experts did an analysis (ie. logical ammo), then SHOW the client this magazine or the proof and SAY to them “The fact that our product is the best in the industry has recently been verified by experts in this magazine…look.”

See what I mean?

Of course you never want to lie to your clients.

Don’t make up facts that aren’t actually facts!

There’s enough positive, logical truth and facts about whatever you’re selling, that you shouldn’t have to make up any lies!

If not, then don’t sell that product – EVER!

Summary

The fact that people make emotional buying decisions and justify those decisions with logic is one of those interesting things about human being that top sales people and top producers know, but most people don’t realize.

Most of us spend so much energy in life pretending to be rational, logical creatures, that we will often argue and say “No way!  I don’t make emotional decisions!  Not me…I’m all logical.”

LOL.  Yeah, right.

You make emotional decisions just like I do…and then you back them up with logic.

The cool thing is that if we admit this, and we realize it, we can help a LOT of people to get the things they want in life — and of course make a lot more money as well ourselves — just by helping them out a little bit, by giving their mind the logical ammo it needs to justify their buying decision.

The truth is that most people already made their decision long before they spoke to you as a sales rep… or that emotional decision happened at some point in the conversation, but they’re still not going to buy from you if you don’t give them enough logical ammo to withstand scrutiny from the “LOGIC POLICE” waiting for them at home, or at the next family dinner.

So give the client what they need in order to justify their decision, by giving them the logical reasons why your product or service is right for them, and make sure you LABEL the information you’re giving them in their minds as logical reasons by using one of the phrases I mentioned above or something similar.

Best Way to Get MLM Leads

January 29, 2015 by Paul Leave a Comment

After being in several different MLM / Network Marketing companies and getting stuck after burning through my warm market, I started looking online for the best way to get MLM leads.

In the old days, way back in 1997, the first MLM company I worked for taught several offline lead generation strategies such as:

  • Wondering around shopping malls and plazas and talking to random strangers
  • Hanging out in the self-help section of a book store and pouncing on anyone there
  • Getting dressed up, going to hotels and riding elevators and handing out business cards
  • Going to different retail stores, striking up conversations with clerks and pitching them your MLM
  • etc.

I have to admit that I was absolutely HORRIBLE at these types of prospecting methods.

I am NOT your typical sales-type personality.

I’m more introverted and shy, and about the LAST thing in the world that I want to do is walk around malls talking to strangers!

This is why the first MLM I joined back in 1997 didn’t work out very well for me.

Once I worked through my warm market, and any referrals that I could get, I was STUCK.

So when I got back into the MLM scene in around 2008 / 2009, I started looking into ways to generate leads online.

Best Way to Generate MLM Leads Online

I have to say that when I first started looking at different ways to generate leads online, it didn’t go very well.

I found a bunch of different companies selling “hot leads” for the MLM industry, but I didn’t see any success with those either.

I tried doing online and offline advertising using banner ads, radio ads, magazine ads, newspaper ads, classified ads, and more!

None of it produced a lot of success…

… in fact, about the only people that I was able to get to join the MLM I was promoting were people who have been readers of my Blog.

As a Blogger since 2006, I have built up a following of regular blog readers who I’ve provided a TONNE of value to through my blog posts, my videos and my coaching/mentoring services.

Interestingly enough, any time I would join an MLM company and I would blog about it, I would usually have a few dozen people join the MLM I was promoting.

Besides my family and friends, ALL of the people that I signed up were people who read my Blog!

The funny thing was that I didn’t even realize this point until in 2014 a mentor of mine shared with me one of his secrets for having ultra success in the MLM industry.

That secret was that he didn’t sponsor people from radio ads, or paid traffic sources, or magazines ads, or by walking around the mall talking to strangers.

He sponsored THOUSANDS of people in his MLM career using his BLOG!

When he shared this with me, I was blown away, as I never even considered a Blog to be a tool that I could use to generate MLM leads.

But once he mentioned this to me, I went back through all the different people that I sponsored in the various MLMs that I’ve been a part of and sure enough, virtually ALL of the people that I signed up came from my BLOG!

Blogging Your Way to MLM Success

After further researching into this and learning about it, I realized that there are several reasons which make Blogging an ultra effective strategy for generating MLM leads.

#1 – Blogging = Attraction Marketing

The beautiful thing about Blogging is that every single blog post that you write and publish, is like a little magnet that ATTRACTS the right types of people to your business.

The people who are attracted to my Blog posts share very similar interests, energy and vibration with me.

Meaning, they’re people just like me!

They might not have achieved the same level of income or success in life yet, but they’re people who I would most likely be great friends with if I met them in person.

That’s how Blogging works.  It attracts the right people to you!

And probably even more importantly, it repels people who are NOT the right people away from me.

For example, people who are very negative or ultra skeptical or who hate the MLM industry or who think that everything is a scam… well, those types of people are NOT going to be attracted to my Blog.

So I don’t even have to waste my time dealing with them.

My Blog only attracts positive, open minded people who have a dream and who are ready to take things to the next level.

#2 – Blogging Builds Value and a Rapport With Your Leads

When people first arrive at my Blog, they don’t know me.

They don’t know who I am, what I’m all about, and how I can help them.

Very quickly though, those questions get answered.

By reading my Blog posts and getting access to the various resources that I share on my Blog, people very quickly learn all about me, who I am, and how I can help them.

This leads to the development of trust and rapport with my prospects long before I even speak to them on the phone or via email or chat.

The beauty of this is that by having a Blog, it automatically “warms up” your leads and prospects because they start to see that you’re a genuine person and when you provide them with so much value, they begin to trust and like you more and more.

#3 – Blogging Attracts Leads 24/7 Regardless What You’re Doing

Once you setup a Blog and start publishing some content, that content will get indexed by the search engines and each blog post acts like a little piece of online real-estate that generates leads for you.

Once I publish a post, it doesn’t matter if I’m awake or asleep or on vacation… my Blog is working for me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, non-stop.

It’s connecting me with the right people, and it’s helping them out with the value that I share on my Blog.

Also, unlike other methods of generating leads such us buying them, or buying advertising, your Blog doesn’t stop working for me when my advertising budget runs out.

It’s like a machine that never sleeps and never takes a break.

Meaning, I can still combine my Blog with paid advertising methods such as buying leads or doing radio ads or classified ads or Facebook ads or any other paid advertising methods…

… but the difference is that if for example I run a paid ad for 5 days, and then run out of advertising budget for a period of time, my Blog is still up and running 24/7.

This way I can still generate leads even if I don’t have a big advertising budget to invest into generating leads.

Of course if I DO have some money to invest into advertising, I can do that, and generate leads and then use my Blog to “warm them up” to me by providing them with a lot of value.

It’s awesome!

Isn’t Blogging Complicated?

If blogging is so awesome, then why aren’t more people in the MLM industry embracing it as a method for generating leads?

Well, firstly, one of the main reasons is because they don’t know about this strategy.

Until recently, nobody has known how powerful Blogging can be for generating a virtually unlimited stream of MLM leads.

A lot of the people who have figured this out have been keeping this strategy more or less a secret too, as it’s so effective.

That is why those people who decide to get started with Blogging now, will be rewarded.

Of course, the opportunity isn’t going to be around forever.

Once all the top leaders in the industry catch on to how powerful Blogging is as a method for generating MLM leads, everyone will be doing it, and then it might be too late.

Also, chances are that your competitors are catching wind of this as well.

Especially with the new Kalatu Brand Station that has just been released.

The whole MLM industry is about to go through a rapid change in the way people generate MLM leads and sponsor people.

Just like the cell phone revolutionized the way we communicate with people, the Kalatu Brand Station will revolutionize the way we generate leads in the MLM industry.

Another reason why it’s a great idea to get started with Blogging today is because your MLM leads and prospects and team mates will look up to you and see you as a leader that is connected with the latest, up to date, state-of-the art marketing strategies in the MLM industry.

They won’t have to go elsewhere for this type of information, because YOU will be the leader that connects them with this new technology, instead of trying to teach them outdated, offline techniques that are becoming completely obsolete.

This of course can have a very positive effect on your retention rates!

Instead constantly trying to sponsor new people and seeing them quitting on you a few months later because they don’t know how to generate leads outside of their warm market either, NOW your team mates will stick around long term and also start using the Kalatu Brand Station to generate leads for themselves!

But again, you might be asking yourself – isn’t blogging complicated?

Well, it can be!

As someone who has been a blogger since 2006, I have seen THOUSANDS of people try to get started with blogging only to get frustrated, confused and then to inevitably quit!

Why?

Because until now, there has never been a simple, systematized method for learning how to Blog in a way that’s going to position you as a brand, as a leader, and to help you generate MLM leads.

Introducing Kalatu Brand Station

The Kalatu Brand Station completely eliminates the guesswork out of Blogging for the purpose of building your brand and generating MLM leads for your business.

Kalatu is built on the world’s most powerful blogging system – WordPress – but unlike traditional WordPress systems out there, it completely simplifies the entire technology behind becoming a Blogger.

You no longer have to learn anything about hosting WordPress, or installing code, or messing around with FTP servers or any of that stuff that overwhelms most people.

With Kalatu, you can go from zero to having a fully operational Blog in MINUTES!

It’s very simple.

Not only that, but Kalatu also comes with the state-of the art LevelUp Sequence:

Kalatu LevelUp Sequence

So what is the LevelUp Sequence?

Well, it’s a proprietary system that was developed by the Kalatu team, which takes a person from start to finish and shows them exactly what they need to do – step-by-step – in order to become a successful blogger.

All other blogging systems out there give you some of the tools and then leave it up to you to try to figure everything else out.

Most people get confused, frustrated and just don’t know what they’re supposed to do.

That is why in the past virtually 99% of all people who started blogging ended up GIVING UP before they achieved any success.

If you tried starting a Blog in the past, and it didn’t work for you, don’t blame yourself!

It wasn’t you!  It was the technology and the training that just wasn’t available at that time… but it is now.

With the Kalatu LevelUp Sequence that won’t happen.

The system grabs you by the hand and shows you EXACTLY what you need to do in order to succeed.

It’s awesome!

You’ve got to check this thing out.

It’s absolutely amazing.

Trust me, you want to be one of the first people in your MLM to know about this, especially if you are planning on building a team.

Because no matter what, your team WILL hear about this eventually and they WILL ask you about it…

… and the last thing you want is to look stupid in front of your team, right?

Instead, you’re much better off taking a look at Kalatu now, learning what it’s about and how it works, and utilizing it to start generating leads for your MLM.

This way, not only will you look like a genius in front of your team-mates, you’ll also be helping others in the industry as well!

The statistics show that there are over 50,000 people per month in the USA alone who are looking to join an MLM – right now!

And a LOT of those people are looking on the Internet for information about which company to join!

By setting up a Kalatu Brand Station for yourself, you’ll be able to capitalize on that massive market and to help those people find the best MLM for them.

I highly recommend learning more about Kalatu by clicking here.

P.s. If you take the Kalatu platform and the LevelUp Sequence training system for a spin today you will receive a special bonus.  Just click here to learn more.

Network Marketing Infographic

August 1, 2014 by Paul Leave a Comment

Today I decided to create a network marketing infographic that shows some of the differences between network marketing strategies that worked back in 1994 versus network marketing strategies that work today in 2014.

I’ve been in a number of different network marketing companies over the last 20 years and the biggest complaint I hear from new people is that they don’t like the marketing aspect of their business.

Most people love the products that their company sells, but they hate the marketing strategy.

Most of these marketing strategies are outdated, and date back to 1994 or before.

Here’s a network marketing infographic I created that shows some of the strategies from 1994 and how they’ve changed over the last 20 years.

One of the most exciting things about getting involved with network marketing in 2014 is that you can virtually eliminate all the annoying, boring and difficult marketing strategies that don’t work very well anymore, and replace them with newer strategies that are a lot more fun, easier and way more effective.

Here are some examples:

No Need for a 25 Name List

Back in 1994, most network marketing companies would start a new distributor off by getting them to make a 25 name list of their top friends and family members.

Then the person’s job was to call those people as quickly as possible, invite themselves over to their house along with their sponsor, and to go see as many of those people as quickly as humanly possible.

Ideally, you and your sponsor would do a blitzkrieg style attack on your 25 name list and get to see everyone on your list before the first person on your list that you went and saw had a chance to call the rest of the people on your list to warn them about your new business venture. 🙂

I won’t deny that this approach does work in some situations, especially when a person has a good reputation and relationship with their 25 name list, but in most cases it was a very stressful and intense experience to go through.

I have personally seen the downside of this approach with family members calling the new sponsored distributor and yelling at them for being put in a high-pressure position when they were visited by the new distributor and their sponsor.

Once a distributor goes through this process once or twice in their lifetime, they never ever want to put together another 25 name list again.

Today, in 2014, there’s a much better approach to building your network marketing business.

Instead of attacking your 25 name list of friends and family who are probably not interested in your latest business venture anyways, you can instead build an online following of people who are interested in you, and your business offering.

You can learn how to setup online marketing systems that generate an ongoing stream of new, targeted and interested leads who actually WANT to hear from you – instead of bugging your aunt Ruth for the 90th time to join your latest venture.

No Need for Meetings at Your House

Another slightly different strategy that some network marketing companies have been doing for decades, which I believe also belongs in the “1994 network marketing strategies” bucket is doing meetings at your house.

In this model, what the new distributor does is they pick up the phone and they call all their friends and family and try to invite them over to a “business opportunity” meeting at their house.

The idea is to try to get around 20-50 people invited, which will usually mean that about 2-5 people will actually show up.

Then, the distributor’s sponsor shows up and “closes” those people on joining the business.

To be fair, this method can be very effective and is still very widely used by companies such as Tupperware, Mary K Cosmetics, Partylite, and other network marketing companies that do a great job of training their distributors to put on proper meetings.

In these types of meetings – which are usually referred to as “parties” – a group of women (usually, but not always just women) will gather at one of their houses and a distributor will do a demonstration of their products and then take orders at the end of the party.

This method can be effective in these types of situations, but it is usually best suited for people who enjoy standing up in front of a group and putting on a presentation.

For people who are shy, introverted, or just don’t like putting on group presentations, this method is largely ineffective unless they can overcome their fears of being in front of a group.

In most cases though, the typical situation that happens is a new distributor tries to put on a meeting and after exhaustively calling everyone they know, they can’t get people to commit to coming to a home meeting / party.

A lot of times, even if the distributor successful invites a few people over, they are later disappointed when on the day of the meeting / party, everyone calls with some excuse to cancel, or simply just don’t show up.

This leads to a lot of awkwardness amongst the sponsor and his guests, and that is why most people avoid even doing meetings like these.

Today in 2014, this whole process can be made much more effective by firstly building an audience of people who are actually interested in your offering (as discussed earlier), and then by using Webinar technology to invite people to online webinars, instead of over to your house for a meeting.

There’s a much higher chance that a person will tune in to a webinar than showing up to a meeting at your house.

Think about it – the person doesn’t have to get dressed up, doesn’t have to find a babysitter for their kids, doesn’t have to drive over or explain to their spouse where they are going.

They just click on a link you send them, and they join a webinar to see if what is being offered is of interest to them.

Also, using webinar technology instead of putting on meetings in person means that you are usually going to be getting the companies BEST OF THE BEST doing the webinar, instead of your local sponsor doing the meeting.

Meaning, in most cases the person putting on the webinar might be the founder of the company himself or someone who is ultra successful in the business – like a 7 figure earner in the company – and your invited guests will be exposed to someone like that, versus attending a meeting where you and your barely qualified sponsor try to stumble through a presentation.

Using online webinar and sales funnels is a much faster and easier way of building a network marketing company.

No More Cold Calling Prospects

Another “1994 network marketing” strategy that I absolutely detested was cold calling prospects from different lists and directories.

Back in those days I would get listings of business owners in my local area and cold-call them asking them if they happened to know anyone who is interested in a business opportunity.

99 out of 100 people would either hang up, tell me to go away, yell at me, or tell me to never call again.

1 out of 100 would agree to meet with me to see what I had to offer. Only a certain percentage of those would actually show up to the meeting.

It is a strategy that can be made to work if you’re willing to pound the phones for hours every day, hoping to hit that 1% of your market list who will actually agree to meet up with you, but it’s really hard to stay motivated when you’re constantly being rejected on the phone.

Personally I hated cold calling and I avoided it like the plague.

Today in 2014, cold calling is no longer required.

Instead of trying to cold call thousands of people who are most likely not interested, in the hopes of hitting that small percentage of people who just happen to be interested in a business opportunity – using today’s marketing strategies we can connect with ONLY THOSE people who are interested.

How? By using tools like Blogs, Facebook marketing, Solo Ads, Email Lists, Banner Ads, and many other tools that allow us to connect with people who are looking for a business opportunity.

How to Get Started

Many network marketers who are still trying to use 1994 style tactics and strategies in their marketing will sometimes ask me “Okay Paul, but how do I learn how to do all those things you’re talking about?”

The best way to get started in learning how to do network marketing using the strategies that work in 2014 is to buy into a training system that teaches those strategies.

Don’t wait for your network marketing company to provide you with those systems.

Most network marketing companies on the planet are still stuck in 1994, using those strategies – because most of them have top level network marketers on their advisory boards and on their marketing teams who build successful network marketing downlines back in the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s.

Those people built their downlines using OLD strategies that don’t work the same way anymore, but they continue to teach and preach those strategies today because that is ALL they know.

How can you expect to learn online marketing strategies from someone who has never used online marketing strategies to build a downline?

It just doesn’t work.

Don’t expect or wait for your network marketing company to teach you what works — the truth is that they don’t know.

At best, they will hire a consultant to come in and build a replicated website, after their field agents complain enough about not having one.

However, these replicated websites are often made to look pretty, and not to be effective. They simply don’t work.

And when field agents / distributors try to use them, and don’t get a lot of positive results, their company’s leadership will then say “See, we TOLD you that online marketing doesn’t work. Here, just do this thing I used to do back in the 1980’s and 1990’s and you’ll see that it works.”

Trust me, I’ve been there. I’ve tried plugging into the online marketing training from network marketing companies.

At the very best it barely scratches the surface of what is required.

What you really need is to learn from the best strategists on the planet. People who are producing results with online marketing TODAY and who have results to show for it.

Not theory – but actual results.

Personally, after close to a decade of searching for a training system on this topic I have found the best training comes from a company called Empower Network.
