The Most Powerful Manifesting Tool

April 8, 2015 by Paul 1 Comment

When Napoleon Hill wrote the book “Think and Grow Rich”, he hid the secret to building wealth in plain sight.

The “secret” is right inside the title.

The secret he discovered by studying the wealthiest people on the planet at the turn of the century was that it was their THINKING that made them rich!

“Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it.” ~ Henry Ford

Now, when most people hear this, or read this quote from Henry Ford they think to themselves “Oh, I have no problem thinking.  My mind thinks all the time.  In fact my mind can’t stop thinking.  I’m always thinking about this or that…”

The idea that “THINKING” is the key to success is only partially true though.

See, there are two types of thinking.

The first type of thinking is automatic / unoriginal thinking.

This first type of thinking is when you go through your day and your eyes and your ears and your other senses perceive the reality that you see in front of you and your mind THINKS about the things that it is seeing and perceiving, and your mind then tries to filter, categorize, judge, react and maybe take action on what it sees.

We might have 50,000 or 100,000 such thoughts throughout the day… essentially our mind is simply interpreting the reality in front of it and trying to do the best it can to survive within that reality.

The second type of thinking is ORIGINAL thought.

Original thought is different from regular thinking.

Original thought is when your senses perceive the reality in front of you, but your mind chooses to use the imagination center that it has at it’s disposal to imagine a different reality from the one you have right now.

For example, I’m currently driving an old Mazda 3, and when I get in that car and drive, it’s easy for my mind to think “I’m driving my old Mazda 3…”, but if I deliberately choose to do so I can use my imagination – the second part of my mind – to IMAGINE that I am driving my NEW car already, right now, even though I haven’t bought it yet.

When an architect sits down in front of a blank piece of paper his senses tell him that the paper is blank, but his imagination sees the blueprints for a new house.  The architect can already SEE the blueprint in his mind’s eye, by creating original thought, and then he just has to draw what he sees.

When a musician sits down in front of a keyboard, or picks up a guitar, his senses tell him that the instrument is just sitting there… blank… making no sound… and it is up to the musician to take that instrument and create something with it.  Something that wasn’t there just a few moment before the musician created it.

When a basketball coach sees a new player on his team, who has talent but hasn’t been trained to play well yet, the coach SEES the potential of the player even though the reality in front of his eyes is that of a player with a lot of weaknesses and unrefined skill.

When a hedge fund investor goes to invest in a company, he sees the potential that the company has – NOT just where the company is at right now.

The most powerful skill you can develop to become a great manifestor using the Law of Attraction is to develop your ability to THINK ORIGINAL THOUGHTS… to use your IMAGINATION to imagine that which isn’t there yet in your reality.

Looking at what’s in front of you and seeing what’s actually there is EASY!  Anyone can do that.  But there’s no POWER to be derived from seeing only that which is in front of you.

All the power in manifesting comes from your ability to imagine a BETTER reality, and not to just observe what’s already there.

For example, I already see myself making a six-figure income from my Blog, even though my current reality as I write this post doesn’t reflect that yet.

I don’t focus on current reality.  I focus on what’s possible and what I’m going to manifest!

All manifesting and all innovation comes from a person’s ability to imagine something that isn’t there yet.

If you’re not using your imagination to imagine what you want your reality to look like every single day, then you’re essentially misusing your mind to continue to manifest only that which is already there.

ORIGINAL THOUGHT / IMAGINATION – that is the most powerful manifesting tool in the world.

And the cool thing is…. we’re all born with it!  You just need to learn how to use it. 🙂

3 Simple Ways to Overcome Writers Block as a Blogger

April 8, 2015 by Paul 2 Comments

I’ve written a blog post every single day for 99 days straight now.

Although I’ve been blogging for over 9 years now, this is the longest I’ve ever blogged consecutively every single day since I started blogging.

I think the longest I’ve previously gone for was 58 days straight.

The biggest challenge with writing a blog post every day is finding something to write about when you’ve got writer’s block.

For me generally Blogging isn’t a problem.  I can often think of something to write about in just a few minutes and then away I go.

However, once in a while, like for the past few days and especially tonight, I’ve had “Writer’s Block” or “Bloggers Block” where I sit in front of my computer, staring at my screen and I don’t know what to write about.

This week especially I’ve been a bit “stuck” for a few reasons.

Firstly, I have a list of ideas for shooting more “Driving With Paul” videos that I want to get recorded, but I ran into a small snag a few days ago.

For some reason the brand new GoPro Hero 3 camera I bought had some kind of issue with the battery and after a few days the battery no longer held a charge.

I could charge it for an entire day and as soon as I unplug the camera from the computer, the camera won’t even turn on.

Anyway, I had to return the camera and I got a new one, but I haven’t had time to get it setup and charged yet so I haven’t had time to shoot any new videos.

Secondly, usually I find it easy to Blog when I am in “Output Mode” and difficult to Blog when I am in “Research mode”.

What I refer to as “Output Mode” is when I’m living my life, doing something, experiencing something, or using certain products or services, or producing some sort of results in my life in some area.

When I’m in this “mode”, I’ll often get ideas, inspirations, learn new things or come to certain conclusions about things that I can then share on my Blog.

However, when I go into “Research mode” like I have been in the past few days, it gets a lot harder to write Blog posts…

… why is it harder?

Well, “Research Mode” is basically when I am doing research on something new, like as an example right now I am researching a whole bunch of information about weight loss products and supplements and various companies that sell them.

When I’m in “Research Mode” my mind goes into a state where I ask myself a question about something and then I begin to research the answers to those questions.  When I get those answers, usually my mind will come up with follow-up questions related to those answers and I go back into searching for those new answers.

Sometimes I only go into “Research Mode” for a few minutes, or hours, but other times I could be in this mode for a few days, or even weeks when I’m trying to figure something out.

Again, going back to my example from today, I’ve been researching all these different nutritional companies and products specifically related to weight loss, and my research isn’t complete yet as I still have questions that need to be answered, but not all my questions CAN be answered just with online research.

Sometimes I need to contact someone or a company to find out answers to certain questions, so I can’t always complete my research by myself, especially when it’s like 1am in the morning like it is now.

When I’m researching something like this, I can’t really Blog about it just yet because I still haven’t gotten my answers so it would kind of be a pointless Blog post to write about something I don’t yet know about.

Of course I CAN Blog about something else, but when I’m in “Research Mode” my mind is so focused on researching whatever topic I’m researching that it has a hard time shutting that off to now start thinking about and writing about something totally different.

It’s not impossible, but it’s definitely a bit harder, hence the “Writer’s Block”.

Another reason I’ve often found it hard to Blog on a specific day is when something really exciting or really stressful is going on in my life, but it’s not something that I want to share on my Blog for whatever reason…

… on days like that it’s not always easy to focus myself to write something else…

… but, here are 3 little tricks I’ve learned that can help you overcome Writer’s Block.

#1 – The 3rd Party YouTube Video Trick

Stealing copyrighted content from another Blogger and just copying and pasting it on your Blog is a big NO NO.

You DON’T want to be doing that.

Firstly, it’s a really douchey move to steal anyone else’s content, but secondly it provides no value to your audience anyways, so it’s pointless.

You might as well not write any content at all if you’re going to just copy and paste someone else’s Blog post.

HOWEVER, taking someone’s YouTube video and embedding it on your blog is not only perfectly OKAY, it is actually encouraged by the people who create the content!

For example, if I upload a public video to YouTube, and if anyone wants to take that video and embed it into a Blog post they’ve written with maybe a bit of text written above and below the video, I’m perfectly fine with that.

In fact I’m not just fine with it, I encourage it!  If you want to embed my videos in your Blog, go right ahead!

The reason being is that by embedding people’s videos in your Blog content, you are helping them get more publicity, both to their video and their YouTube channel.

So, one of the cool tricks you can use to get a Blog post written on a day when you’re totally STUCK, is to head over to YouTube and just search for some keywords related to your Blog’s Niche market and find a video that you like…

… then, WATCH the video from start to finish and if you like it, then write a very quick blog post where you just write a few sentences about the video and then embed the video on your Blog.

This way you’re getting your daily Blog post written, you’re providing value to your audience by sharing relevant content with them, AND you’re also helping the person on YouTube to get more views to their video by exposing their content to your audience.

It’s a win – win – win situation.

So if you’re feeling really stuck, try doing that.

Just  make sure the video you pick is relevant to your audience.  Don’t just post some totally unrelated video just because it got a lot of views because it was funny or something, unless of course that fits with your Blog theme.

Here’s an example of a post I recently posted that used this technique.

#2 – The YouTube Video List Trick

Another variation of the YouTube video trick is to go and find 3-7 YouTube videos that are related to each other in some way, which cover a specific topic in more depth, and embed all of them into one “List Post”.

For example, in my post yesterday I went onto YouTube and found three free audio books that I recommend people listen to if they want to be rich.

I then took those three YouTube videos and embedded all three of them into my Blog post.

This can also be very valuable to your audience as you’re saving them the time of having to go out there and find those videos on their own, not to mention the fact that they might not know what to look for in the first place.

This technique is similar to the first one, but just goes into more depth by providing multiple videos.

#3 – The “Current Situation” Blog Post Trick

The “Current Situation” Blog Post Trick is basically where you don’t really have anything to share with your Blog audience that’s like an insight or a how-to or a conclusion or result that you’ve produced, because you might be in “Research Mode” or just stuck in some area of your life and spinning your wheels.

In such situations, what you can do is you can start writing a Blog post from the perspective of “Here’s where I’m at… I’m currently stuck with… or … I’m currently trying to figure out…. or I’m currently struggling with… something or other…”

Meaning, if you’re confused about something or you’re stuck or struggling or trying to figure something out, then you can make THAT the subject of your Blog post!!!

In fact, if you look at this Blog post it’s kind of written from that angle.

I don’t really have anything mind-blowing to share today but I still wanted to write a Blog post, so I wrote a Blog post telling you about how sometimes I get stuck not knowing what to write about…

… now I did include a few “solutions” to this specific challenge, but you could write a Blog post that doesn’t offer any solutions.

Your Blog post could simply be a post where you’re sharing with your audience the fact that you’re stuck or confused or uncertain about something…

… and the cool thing is that sometimes your audience will actually engage with you and they might actually be able to help you with your present situation!

I’ve written posts in the past where I was stuck on something and I ended up getting comments and emails from people offering their suggestions and opinions on how I could potentially solve that challenge.

So in that way your Blog can actually be a tool for YOU to get some help, and not just a tool for you to help others.

So, if you’re stuck and don’t know what to write about, try one of these three simple strategies and get your Blog post done! 🙂

Three Free Audio-Books To Listen To If You Want to Be Rich

April 6, 2015 by Paul Leave a Comment

I’ve read over 1,000 personal development books in the last 20 years.

Today I was thinking, if I was asked to pick just THREE books that I believe had the highest chance of helping someone to become rich if that person was only allowed to listen to those three books and nothing else, here are the three books I’d choose.

  1. The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles
  2. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
  3. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

What’s really cool about these books is that anyone with an Internet connection can listen to these books in audio-book format, free of charge, even if they can’t read!

That is the beauty of the Internet.

It has leveled the playing field so much, where now pretty much anyone anywhere on the planet can get an education on wealth building for free.

Here are the three books in audiobook format…

The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill Audiobook

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

Enjoy!

Law of Attraction and Winning the Lottery

April 3, 2015 by Paul Leave a Comment

In yesterday’s post I wrote about the only real manifestation that matters.

I talked about the importance of learning how to manifest the FEELING behind the thing that you are trying to manifest.

If you become good at manifesting the feelings that you want to feel, this will put you into what Abraham / Esther Hicks calls “The Vortex”.

Also in yesterday’s post I gave a real life example of how I’m doing this with the new car that I am manifesting.

Today I wanted to expand on this topic a bit more by sharing two more videos from Abraham / Esther Hicks which use the example of winning the lottery to explain this concept.

Check out the videos here:

Part 1:

Part 2:

Once you’ve watch the videos, leave a comment below with any observations or “aha” moments you’ve had while watching them.

The Only Manifestation That Matters

April 2, 2015 by Paul Leave a Comment

I first started using the Law of Attraction consciously to manifest things back in 2002.

I say “consciously” because in reality we are ALL always manifesting every aspect of our realities, whether we realize it or not.

There is no such thing as being “good at manifesting” vs “not so good at manifesting”.

We are ALL always manifesting everything in our lives, but the only questions is how skilled we become at manifesting those things we WANT or DESIRE versus those things that we DON’T WANT or DON’T DESIRE.

Lately, I’ve been noticing that my skill / ability to manifest things that I want / desire has been getting much, much stronger.

I am becoming more and more proficient at manifesting what I want faster and easier than ever before.

As I’ve been going through this experience, what I’ve come to realize with more clarity than ever is that the MOST IMPORTANT manifesting skill that we can work on is to consciously be able to manifest how we feel in each moment.

Meaning, yes you can manifest THINGS or SITUATIONS or PEOPLE in your life, but our true desire behind any of those things is to feel a certain way.

For example, we may want to manifest a new TV because we imagine having friends over to watch a football game, or the latest UFC match, or having a movie night full of laughs and enjoyment and we think we want the TV, but in reality we want to experience the FEELING of having that experience with our friends.

Or another example is when we want to manifest a vacation or a trip somewhere.  We THINK that we want to manifest a trip to Disneyland or to Paris or to Mexico or some place “out there”, but in reality what we really want is to experience a feeling that we may have felt before while on vacation.

Maybe we went to Disneyland and as we walked through the front gate, we felt this FEELING of wonder and awe and amazement, and now we want to go to Disneyland again because we want to recapture that feeling.

Or maybe we went on a trip to some warm place where we sat on the beach and just felt the sun on our skin and enjoyed the feeling of relaxation and stress freedom because we allowed ourselves to not think about our work or our jobs or our businesses or any of the other things that normally race through our minds.

Or maybe we imagine getting into a relationship with someone and we think it is that person or that relationship that we want, but in reality what we REALLY want is the FEELING that we believe we will feel by having those things.

Now here’s the little secret to manifesting all of those things…

See, if you become good at manifesting the FEELINGS that you believe you will experience when you have those things, even before you have those things, then you will manifest those things even faster.

For example, one of the things that I have been blogging about in in the last few months is the FREE CAR that I want to manifest from Blogging.

A car is a “THING” but in reality it is not the car that I want.  What I really want is the FEELING that I will feel when I have manifested a free car from blogging and how much fun it will be to drive my new car.

Now, here’s the cool thing.

For the last month or so, when I’ve been driving my old car I’ve been imagining myself already being inside my new car and driving inside it and I’ve been focusing on trying to capture that FEELING of owning a new car.

I’m not yet at the point where I feel 100% the same way as if I had the car already in my possession but the first time I did this I was able to convince my mind that I was already driving my new car by about 20%…

… so I felt 20% of the amazing feeling of having that new car already…

Then, the next time I did this I got to about 30-50% feeling of having the new car…

And then a funny thing happened.  It turned out that my wife got HER new car…

And what’s really interesting about that is that I’ve had a chance to take her new car for a drive a few times and NOW when I drove her car I imagined that it was my new car, and it was even easier to do it since obviously her car is NEW and it’s really fun to drive.

So now when I drove her car, I was able to get to the point where in my mind I was 80-90% convinced that I was driving my new car already, and I was able to FEEL 80-90% of the joy / fun / excitement of already having my new car – even though I don’t have it yet.

See, that’s the little “secret” to making the Law of Attraction work in your life.

If you can develop the ability to manifest FEELINGS inside of yourself, you will be able to manifest anything and everything that you want.

Now, some of you might be thinking “Oh, well Paul it’s easy for you to say, because your wife just bought a new car so it’s easy to get yourself to feel excited and happy and joyful about having a new car when you’re driving a brand new car, but my car is old so how am I supposed to be happy about that?!”

Well, that’s just an excuse your mind is giving you.

Here’s the thing… way back when I was 18 years old I had saved up $1800 in cash from working at my job at McDonald’s and I used that money to buy my first car.

It was a 1983 Honda Accord.  It was brown in color and it had rusted fenders and basically it was a piece of crap! LOL.

It was a beater car, and it had engine issues and rust holes and all kinds of problems that I had to fix – BUT – I was SO HAPPY!

I remember the day I got that car, and just sitting in it at night, by myself and feeling so HAPPY and EXCITED and JOYFUL because it was *MY* car that I had to bought for my own money.

That car represented FREEDOM to me and I loved it!

So here’s the thing… if I can feel that much excitement and joy owning a piece of crap $1,800 rusted Honda Accord, there really is no excuse!

It’s all just how we choose to program our minds.

You CAN program your mind to feel relaxed and worry-free without having to fly to Mexico and sit on the beach.  You can feel stress-free and relaxed right NOW, wherever you are.

You CAN program your mind to feel loved and appreciated even if you haven’t manifested the perfect relationship yet.

You CAN program your mind to feel excited and happy even if you haven’t manifested whatever that “THING” is that you’re trying to manifest.

And the cool thing is that the better you get at manifesting those FEELINGS, which really are what you’re going after anyways, then the vacations and the relationships and the things that you want will also show up anyways!

Here’s a cool video from Abraham / Esther Hicks where Abraham shares their perspective on this topic:
