This One Universal Law Will Help You Make Money Online

January 8, 2015 by Paul Leave a Comment

Many people dream about making money online as Bloggers or Internet Entrepreneurs.

They invest time and money into tools, training courses, and systems for making money online, which is a great place to start, but most people forget about one other thing that they can do to significantly increase their chances of making money online.

This one other thing that many people forget about is the process of engaging the Spiritual Law of “Giving and Receiving”.

I’ll be totally honest…

…when I first heard of this concept of “Give and You Shall Receive”, I thought it was a ‘marketing tactic’ employed by the Church to guilt people into donating 10% of their income to the Church.

I mean LOGICALLY speaking, if you want more of something, how can you GIVE it away when you don’t have it yet?

Meaning for example if I want more money, how do I give away more money, when I haven’t gotten more money yet?

This concept seemed paradoxical to me. 🙂

And to be honest, at first I kind of just dismissed it as hogwash.

But then a few of my mentors introduced me to a totally different way of looking at the concept that changed everything for me.

Give and You Shall Receive WAY MORE

The big mental shift that changed everything for me was the realization that when you GIVE something away, it doesn’t just come back to you in equal proportion.

When you GIVE something away, the Universe will flow it back to you in much greater quantities.

THAT is how the paradox is solved.

Although there’s no real way to measure it exactly (that I’ve found anyway), I usually like to think that whatever I give away will flow back to me at least TEN FOLD.

Sometimes it can be as much as one hundred fold, or one thousand fold, or even one million fold.

But thinking in terms of TEN fold is a safe and conservative way to look at it.

See, when I realized that the Universe will flow whatever you give away back to you by a factor of 10 TIMES, I started looking at this spiritual law totally differently.

And there was one other concept that fits in with this as well, which is that…

You Can Give and Receive Different Things

You don’t have to give away the same thing as you intend to receive.

Meaning, let’s say that you’re completely financially broke right now, without even a penny to your name.

And let’s say that you want to give away some money.

You can’t really “give away” any money if you don’t have it in the first place, right?

But what you CAN do is you can GIVE AWAY something else that you DO have, that is of “USE VALUE” to someone else.

Meaning for example, you could GIVE away value to someone in another form, such as helping someone with something.

The thing that you want to GET (ie. money) doesn’t have to be the same thing that you GIVE AWAY.

An awesome example of this is Blogging.

Whenever I write a Blog post, I’m essentially GIVING AWAY value to people who read my Blog posts.

Whenever I market and promote my Blog posts, I multiply the number of people my Blog posts reach and thus also multiply the amount of value I’m giving away.

So for example, let’s say that THIS Blog post provides the equivalent of $0.10 worth of value to each person who reads it.

Now, let’s say that I get 1,000 people to read this Blog post… well, that means that I’ve essentially given away the equivalent of $100 worth of value to the world by writing this post.

See what I mean?

And if we apply the TEN FOLD rule to this, that means that the Universe will “reward” me with at least $1,000 worth of “value” back in my life for doing this.

Now, does that mean that tomorrow I’m going to wake up and see $1,000 magically appear in front of me?

Well, no, probably not, but I do KNOW that if I in fact give away $100 worth of “Use Value” by writing a Blog post then I *WILL* receive $1,000 worth of value back from the Universe or more!

I’ve tested this in my life many times and it always seems to work out.

Whenever I go out there and just focus on giving away value to people, I find that the Universe showers me with ten times that value right back.

This is one of the biggest reasons I absolutely LOVE Blogging as a method of making money online, because it’s one of the least expensive ways of launching an online business and it gives people an opportunity to give away the one resource they usually have an overabundance of – WISDOM and ADVICE.

Meaning, most people who start an online business don’t have a lot of extra TIME or MONEY, but they DO have a lot of unique experience and wisdom from their lives.

By embracing Blogging as a business model for making money online, they can transform that WISDOM and ADVICE they’ve accumulated up in their minds over the years by SHARING it with others.

And by giving away this value from their life experience and their passions in life they could activate this Universal Law of GIVING and RECEIVING to get what they want – which is to make money online.

I have tested and proven to myself many times that this concept of giving and receiving tenfold in return works.

But, there is one mistake that most people make which will not activate this law in your life.

Avoid This Mistake

The one mistake that people can make here is not understanding the difference between “Actual Use Value” and “What You Think is the Use Value”.

The Universe will flow back to you ten fold or more of what you give away to the world in ACTUAL USE VALUE, not just in value you THINK you’re giving away.

Meaning, for example, if I write a garbage blog post, that I slap together without putting any real effort into it, then that blog post might only provide $0.01 in value to the world, or even less.

Also, if I don’t learn how to properly market my blog and my blog posts, so that they are seen by thousands of people, then the value doesn’t get multiplied a lot.

Meaning, there’s a big difference between a blog post with let’s say $0.50 worth of “use value” that is seen by 1,000 people, versus a crappy blog post with $0.01 of “use value” that is only seen by 5 people.

In the first case $0.50 x 1,000 people = $500 worth of actual use value, which means the Universe will flow back to you $5,000 worth of value.

In the second case $0.01 x 5 people = $0.05 worth of actual use value, which means the Universe will flow back to you $0.50 worth of value.

See the difference?

You have to create value in the world that people actually find useful…not just slap stuff together… but also, you have to learn how to MARKET and DISTRIBUTE that value to as many people as possible, because that is the multiplication factor that will change everything.

Often times I’ll see people starting a Blog, and they’ll write 5 AMAZING blog posts that could easily be worth $10 in “Use Value” to people, but then they don’t take the time to learn how to market or distribute those blog posts to people, so their audience is ZERO people.

Well, if your audience is ZERO people, then any value you provide times ZERO is still going to be ZERO.

This is why it’s important to learn both ( 1 ) How to create VALUABLE content that actually provides VALUE to people, and ( 2 ) How to properly MARKET, DISTRIBUTE and MONETIZE your Blog so that you activate and multiply the effects of the Law of Giving and Receiving.

This is why I’m so excited to be a part of Empower Network, because that is exactly what we teach people to do.

We teach people how to create valuable Blog content, we teach people how to actually market their Blogs so that they have an audience, and then finally we teach them how to monetize those Blogs.

How to Create a Vision Board as a Non-Visual Person

January 6, 2015 by Paul 6 Comments

Ask a visual person how to create a vision / dream board, and they’ll say “Oh it’s easy!”

They’ll run out, get some poster paper, some magazines, a pair of scissors, and a glue stick and go to town on the project.

An hour later they’ll have this crazy looking collage of pictures, all cut out and sliced together, with action words like “Awesome” and “Yaay!” intermixed between the pictures.

Ask a non-visual person, whose primary modality in life is either auditory or kinesthetic to tackle the same project and it’s a totally different story.

An hour later you’ll find them both still sitting there, having flipped through 50 magazines and finding NOTHING that inspires them.

This doesn’t mean auditory or kinesthetic people don’t have dreams, or that they can’t create a “vision” board, but they just have to approach the task from a different perspective.

Auditory and kinesthetic people are different from visual people.

If you’re kinesthetic, you have to approach it from a kinesthetic perspective.

If you’re auditory, you have to approach it from an auditory perspective.

Vision Boards for Auditory People

Since I’m predominantly an auditory person, I’m going to share an idea I had this morning for a “vision” board for me.

One year ago I put up a cork board in my room that’s about 5 feet wide by 4 feet tall.

It’s big enough to fit PLENTY of pictures as a “vision”board.

One year later, it’s still pretty much empty.

A visual person would already have that thing FULL of pictures!

But as an auditory person, pictures don’t really excite me that much, so no wonder I haven’t been really that excited about populating it.

So this morning I had an idea.

Instead of trying to force myself to cut pictures out of magazines, or to scour the Internet for pictures to print out, instead I’m creating a “vision board” with just three simple tools.

  1. A cork board
  2. Index cards
  3. Push pins

Using these tools I can simply write down what things I want, or I can write down little sayings of things that either I will say or someone else will say to me once I manifest the thing that I want to manifest.

Let’s use an example to illustrate what I mean.

Example #1 – A New Car

Let’s say I wanted to manifest a new car.

A visual person would just cut out pictures of the car they want and plaster that all over their vision board.

As an auditory person, here’s what I’m doing instead.

I take a simple 5″x3″ index card and I write something like “Woa!  Nice Car!  I love how it sounds!” on it.  Then, I take that index card and I pin it up on my cork board.

Then I take another index card and I write something like “Holy crap, the stereo in this car is awesome and I love how I can play songs straight from my cell using Bluetooth.”

Or I can write down an exact description of the car I want, such as for example if I wanted a silver 2015 Mercedes SLK I would write down “2015 Silver Mercedes SLK” and maybe put a few more details into the description.

Then I just take that index card and add it to my dream / vision board.

Now, to a visual person, just having a plain old cork-board with a bunch of index cards pinned up would probably look BORING, but to a non-visual person it makes no difference.

Example #2 – Weight Loss

Here’s another example.

Let’s say you wanted to lose some weight and to put that on your vision board.

A visual person would probably cut out pictures of a hot looking body, or maybe put up pics of themselves when they were more fit.

So what would I put up instead, as an auditory person?

Well, I could either simply write down specific goals like “Cool, I hit my goal of 225lbs” or “Cool, I hit my goal of 200lbs” or “Cool, I’ve lost 35lbs already” or whatever I would usually SAY to myself when I reach a weight loss goal.

Or it could be what I HEAR myself saying to myself inside my head.

OR I can write down things that I will hear people saying to me when I reach my goals like “Wow!  You look great.  Have you lost weight?”

These are all just simple statements I would write down on a simple 5″x3″ index card and pin up on a “Vision” / Dream Board.

Vision Board for Auditory PeopleVision Boards for Kinesthetic People

I’m not a predominantly kinesthetic person so I don’t know exactly what would be the ideal things a kinesthetic person would write on their index cards.

However, I do know that kinesthetic people are more or less the exact opposite of a visual person, so they don’t really care what something looks like so much, and so I bet it’s not an exciting thing for them to cut out pictures and put them up on a vision board.

I would think that kinesthetic people would most likely benefit from writing out the description of the feeling they would feel having the thing that they want to have.

So maybe on the index cards they would write something like “I feel so much better in my clothes” if their goal was to lose some weight.

Or they might write down “I love how these heated seats keep my butt warm even with the windows open” if they were trying to manifest a new car.

If you’re a predominantly kinesthetic person, you probably know much better than I do what makes you tick, so write down whatever excites you on those index cards.

Another thing you could do is if for example the new car you want will have leather seats, you could get a small piece of leather from somewhere that’s similar to the leather that car seats are made of and cut that out and pin it to the board so that you can touch it and feel it with your hands.

Or maybe you could get one of those “New Car Scent” thingies and pin it up so that you can smell your new car.  🙂

I’m sure you know better than I do what excites you, so use your imagination.

My point is simply this…

Vision Boards are NOT Just For Visual People

Most people who love using vision boards are, more often than not, visual people.

Visual people usually love to use them, and so, more often than not, they try to teach other people how to make them.

The challenge is that because they are visual people they only know how to appeal to other visual people, and that’s usually why you don’t see many auditory or kinesthetic people making vision boards.

It’s not because vision boards are not useful – they are an extremely powerful tool – it’s just that you have to approach making them from YOUR modality, not someone else’s.

I personally started making mine today just by using simple 5″ x 3″ index cards and by writing down what I will either say to myself or what I’ll hear others say to me when I manifest the goals I’m going after.

Play around with some ideas of what might work for you and your primary modality.

Remember thought that even thought most people are predominantly more biased towards ONE modality, everyone does use all of the modalities, so even if you’re not a visual person it doesn’t hurt to throw some pictures up there if you want, or even if you ARE a visual person, it doesn’t hurt to throw some auditory or kinesthetic statements up there as well.

The Real Reason We Struggle to Lose Weight

January 2, 2015 by Paul 2 Comments

Weight loss is one of the most convoluted subjects on the planet.

There are countless so called “experts” out there all selling the latest diet or exercise program, trying to cash-in on our desire to lose weight and get fit.

The interesting thing is that while the weight loss advice industry has exploded and virtually everyone from the latest diet expert to your aunt Judy has a theory on weight loss, the majority of people in North America and now worldwide are just getting fatter and fatter.

You could blame laziness, a lack of exercise, a lack of proper diet or a lack of willpower to stick to a healthy diet, but what’s the real cause of these things?

Why do we find it so hard to stick to a diet, and why are we always so hungry???

I have studied nutrition and weight loss for over 10 years now and have tried virtually every diet under the sun.

I’ve lost weight while on the various diets, but I’ve always gained it back after completing my diet and feeling hungry for all the different types of foods I’ve “deprived” myself of during my diet plans.

But why do we crave so much food, so many calories and all these foods that we know are “bad” for us?

I believe that Dr. Wallach has the answer to this.

Why We Struggle to Lose Weight

In this video Dr. Wallach explains how our inability to lose weight comes from two main reasons:

Reason # 1 – Mineral Deficiency

Unlike the food that our grandparents ate, most of the food we buy today at restaurants or supermarkets is deficient in various minerals.

When our diet is deficient in minerals we develop an uncontrollable appetite for food, and especially carbohydrates.

Dr. Wallach explains how when farmers want to fatten up their livestock, all the have to do in order to get their cows to eat more food is to make their food deficient in minerals and then provide them with a steady stream of cheap carbohydrates (ie. corn).

When you starve a cow of minerals, it’ll eat and eat and eat and just continue to get fat.

In the livestock industry this is not a problem, as fattening up cows is how the farmers make their money, selling the fattened up beef for more money.

But for us, as humans, being mineral deficient is a huge problem because we can try to eat a “sensible diet”, but if our diet is lacking in the proper minerals we WILL have an uncontrollable urge to eat more food – especially carbohydrates.

Reason # 2 – Too Much Carbohydrates

This will probably be of no surprise to most people.

As a society we have become completely addicted to and dependent on cheap carbohydrates.

Bread, white pasta, white rice, corn, sugar, donuts, the latest Starbucks creation, you name it… we’re addicted to carbs.

Anyone who has gone on any diet knows this.

We all know we need to cut these crappy, nutrient deficient carbs from our diets and incorporate more healthy proteins and fats, so why is it so hard to follow through on this?

Well, the reason is because our food is mineral deficient, and so we CRAVE carbs uncontrollably.

So yes, you COULD blame carbohydrates for the fact that you’re eating too many calories every day and STILL feeling hungry, but that isn’t going to help you.

What you need to do is you need to make sure your body is getting ALL the vitamins and minerals that it needs every single day, and THEN you can slowly start cutting out carbohydrates out of your diet without going insane.

Easiest Way to Ensure You Are NOT Mineral Deficient

When Dr. Wallach concluded his research and began lecturing on this topic of us being mineral deficient, many people wanted to know how the heck do we make sure we get all of our vitamins and minerals?

Yes there are many different multi-vitamins and multi-mineral products on the market, but you would have to combine dozens of different pills together on a daily basis to get everything that you need, and even then you’d have to ensure that all of the vitamins and minerals that you need are all in the right proportions for your body and that they’re not coming from synthetic sources.

So to address this issue, Dr. Wallach formulated is own multi-vitamin / multi-mineral product line which contains ALL 90 of the essential minerals and vitamins that your body needs.

He called this line of products 90 For Life, and it makes the process of getting all of your minerals simple and convenient.

Yes you could read his books, and figure out the exact amounts of each mineral and vitamin that you need and then try to create your own set of supplements, but it’s not easy to find the right combination of supplements which gives you EVERYTHING that you need.

Most multi-vitamin/multi-mineral products out here don’t even have 20% of what you need.

This is why I’ve chosen to use Dr. Wallach’s 90 For Life product to make sure I’m getting all of my nutritional needs met for my upcoming weight loss program.

If you’re looking to lose weight, I’d recommend ordering a starter pack and supplementing whatever diet and/or exercise program you’re going to be following with these products.  It will help you to get all the nutrients you need so that you’re not the carb-rich junk foods that you know aren’t good for you.

How to Double Your Chances of Sticking to a Weight Loss Plan

January 1, 2015 by Paul Leave a Comment

Making the decision to start a weight loss plan is always the first step towards weight loss.

But how do we increase our chances of actually sticking to the weight loss plan we create for ourselves.

Over the years I’ve gone through many different weight loss programs I created for myself, and in most cases I’ve reached my goals, and sometimes I didn’t.

Looking back on it now, I realize that there has been one differentiating factor that really helped me to stick to my weight loss plans when I’ve succeeded.

It’s something that most people avoid doing when making the decision to lose weight because they don’t like putting pressure on themselves.

However, the social pressure behind doing this one thing is what makes it so effective!

What I’m referring to is blogging about your weight loss journey.

When I’ve done my previous weight loss plans and I blogged about my journey from setting a goal to recording my starting weight and doing my “before” pictures, all the way through to actually reaching my goals and everything in between, I’ve always found that blogging about it was a tremendous help.

There have been numerous studies done that show that publicly announcing your weight loss plans has a positive effect on achieving your goals.

The perceived accountability and gentle social pressure we put on ourselves can be exactly what we need to keep us on track during the inevitable tough times we may run into during a weight loss program.

I’ve even gone to the point of challenging several of my friends in weight loss challenges where we put up hundreds of dollars and public humiliation on the line to make sure we hit our goals.

You don’t have to do that, but blogging about your weight loss journey can be a HUGE motivating factor for losing weight. How to D

The support you’ll garner from friends and supporters online could just be what you need to keep going.

When I’ve ran into challenges with my weight loss in the past, such as when I’ve hit plateaus, I’ve had my readers posting comment of encouragement and recommending various resources to help me out as well.

If you are a blogger, I STRONGLY recommend blogging about your weight loss journey, publicly declaring what your goals are and sharing your progress on a regular basis.

Even if you have ZERO followers and nobody reads your posts (they will), just knowing that someone out there could be watching can be just what you need to keep you accountable.

If you haven’t started a Blog yet, I would also strongly recommend getting started with blogging by clicking on this to get access to one of the most powerful blogging systems on the planet with the best training as well.

My Public Declaration

I would be a hypocrite if I wrote this post but didn’t publicly declare my weight loss plans as well.

Losing weight has not been a priority for me for several years now, and truth be told I’m actually currently at my heaviest weight I’ve been at all of my life.

As of this morning I weighed in at 243.8 lbs which is pretty much the heaviest I’ve ever been.

I don’t yet know every detail of the weight loss plan I’m going to follow to lose this weight but I have a pretty good idea and I’m organizing the resources to get started shortly.

For example, about a week ago I purchased a recumbent exercise bike to help me with my cardio training, and I’ve been gathering other resources as well.

My ultimate target goal is to lose 75 lbs of fat from my current frame, as well as to start building some more lean muscle mass after that.

I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to reach this goal, but that doesn’t really matter.

One way or another I’m going to hit the goal, that’s all that I know.

How to Make Your Public Declaration

Declaring your weight loss goals publicly isn’t easy for most people.

Especially when the majority of people tend to give up on their weight loss plans after just a few weeks.

However, I promise you that if you declare your weight loss goals publicly, it WILL help you to stick to your plans.

As human beings we tend to stick to things that we tell someone else we are going to do way more than to things we just tell ourselves, so why not use this part of human nature to your benefit!

If you’ve already got a blog, just write a post sharing your plans.

I do not recommend setting a deadline for reaching your goal though, just set a target and start working towards it.

I realize that most gurus out there say that a goal without a deadline is not a goal, but that’s not true.

For a more thorough explanation of why I don’t recommend putting deadlines on your weight loss goal, check out this video:

If you don’t yet have a blog, I highly recommend joining the Empower Network of bloggers where you’ll not only be given access to the world’s most powerful blogging platform, but you’ll also get the best training and team support from thousands of like-minded people.

3 Weight Loss Tech Gadgets You’ll Need If You Want to Lose Weight in 2015

December 31, 2014 by Paul 4 Comments

I love gadgets.

If you ask any of my friends and family members, I’m always playing with some new fitness gadget, tracker, system or website.

Sadly, in reality, the majority of the gadgets I end up buying or getting sent to me for review end up sitting around collecting dust.

Most of them I never use for more than a few days, or perhaps a few weeks.

However, there are three gadgets that have stood the test of time and I think are absolutely essential to helping you achieve success with your weight loss plan.

#1 – The Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale

This scale is just awesome.

It connects to your Wi-Fi network and allows you to automatically track your weight so easily that you’ll actually step on it on a daily basis.

Over the years I’ve had many different scales, and I’ve tried various ways to track my weight, and my body fat % etc., but I always ended up giving up as the tracking process just took way too long.

Meaning, I would go into the bathroom in the morning and step on my scale, and then look at my weight and then have to remember what I weighed and what my body fat % was…

…THEN I would have to walk from the bathroom to my computer, load up a tracking spreadsheet of some sort and type in my new weight…

…that’s IF I wasn’t interrupted by someone or a phone call, or if my dogs didn’t need me to let them out or if someone didn’t text me or some other interruption didn’t cause me to completely forget what my weight was.

I hated the process tracking my weight using such a manual method, so I ended up giving up.

Since getting the Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale though, it’s been super easy to track my weight.

I simply step on the scale, it automatically detects that it’s me (based on my weight), and it measures my weight, my body fat %, and it connects to my Wi-Fi network and uploads my data to the Fitbit website where I can get a detailed analysis of my weight, and my body composition.

It’s simply awesome.

And the FitBit website is a great tool as well for tracking your weight and activity levels.

Although I haven’t actually been on a weight loss plan for the past few years, since getting the scale about a year ago I’ve been tracking my weight pretty consistently every few days and now I have all that data available to me, so I can see exactly how much weight I’ve put on in the past 12 months etc.

I’m a firm believer that in order to lose weight you must track your progress regularly on a daily basis while on a weight loss plan, and several times a week if you’re just on a maintenance plan.

This scale makes that easy.

If you don’t keep track of your weight daily, it makes it way harder to lose weight as you then have no idea what’s working and what isn’t.

This brings me to the 2nd tech gadget that I think is a must-have for a weight loss plan.

#2 – The Fitbit Activity Trackers

The Fitbit family of activity trackers is awesome for tracking your daily activity.

I had a Fitbit Force activity tracker for the first half of 2014 and loved it, except for the fat that there was a recall on the rubber they used for the band which caused a little bit of irritation in some people.

I ended up sending mine back in order to get a $140 credit from Fitbit as I wanted to try out using the Samsung Gear watch instead, which also tracks activity and also heart rate.

I like the Samsung watch I have, as it syncs with my Samsung cell phone and I can answer calls on it, read emails and text messages, but I’m not too impressed with it’s activity tracker system.

Yes it counts steps like the Fitbit, but what I like about the Fitbit system of activity trackers is that they integrate with the Fitbit website.

This way I have my weight tracking and graphing and my activity tracking and graphing all in one place.

I can also track my meals on the Fitbit website as well, or track my meals using MyFitnessPal and then synchronize automatically with Fitbit.

Overall, after testing several different bands from Nike, BodyMedia, Samsung etc., I still like the Fitbit system the best.

I’m currently using a Fitbit Flex but will be upgrading to the new Fitbit Charge HR bands when they come out in the near future.

#3 – The MyoTape Body Measuring Tape

The MyoTape body measuring tape is not really a “tech” gadget but it’s still really cool and I think it deserves a spot in my top 3 favorite weight loss tools.

This very simple tape measure allows you to easily measure your body measurements such as your waist, hips, thighs, biceps, forearms, neck, chest or whatever else you want to measure without the need of a second person.

Ever try measuring your bicep with a regular measuring tape?  It’s nearly impossible.

With this tape it’s really easy!

And it’s very inexpensive, so I definitely recommend getting one of these.

Keeping track of your measurements is extremely important especially if you’re embracing on a weight loss program that is going to combine dieting and exercise/fitness.

The reason for this is that if you’re building muscle, your weight might not drop, but your body measurements will improve.

By combining the scale measurements you get for body weight, and the body fat % and your body measurements with this tape you’ll have a very good way to measure your weight loss progress with a lot of accuracy.

These are the three tech gadgets that I recommend picking up if you want to lose weight in 2015.

Out of all the things I’ve bought and tested, these are the gadgets I have used the most and continue to use.
