Are People Vested in Your Success or Failure?

July 16, 2015 by Paul 3 Comments

Yesterday I was having a chat with my Mom about my new fitness program.

She stopped by shortly after my personal trainer Sam left, and I was just telling her how the workout I did really whooped my butt, but I felt so great having accomplished it.

So we got talking and she was asking me if this was one of my first sessions, and I told her that no, I’ve been working out now for over two months now.

Now, as soon as I said that I thought to myself “Holy crap, I’ve been working out for over 2 months now!”

The reason why that’s significant to me is that in the past, I have never been able to stick to a workout program for more than 1-2 months.

For example about ten years ago I joined a local gym with about three other friends of mine who all wanted to get in better shape.

We picked a gym that was more or less the same distance for all of us to go.

After a few visits to the gym, a few of my friends quit, and then after a few more sessions I gave up as well – mostly because the gym was always so busy during the times I wanted to go, and I had zero desire to work out at 5am in the morning! LOL.

Since then, I’ve tried various different exercise programs, both at home and at gyms.

Last year I joined yet another gym, fairly close to my house, and this time around I found a gym that was open 24 hours a day, so that I could go at night if I wanted to when it was really empty.

I found myself only going a few times, and just not really liking the experience.

Back in 2009 I did the world-famous P90X program for almost 2 months before giving up on that, firstly because of sheer exhaustion and feeling completely run down, and secondly because my business working hours changed and I didn’t have the time to dedicate to working out for 1-2 hours every single day.

Bottom line, I’ve never been able to stick to a strength training program for more than a month or two.

Perhaps you can relate? 🙂

Now here’s my point with this.

So I’m sitting there and talking to my Mom, and I’m thinking “Wow, it’s already been two months and I’m still going strong!  Why is THIS plan working where others have failed?”

That’s when it hit me.

Setting Up Plans Where People Have a Vested Interest in Your Success

See, in all the other plans that I was on before, the success of other people depended on me FAILING.

Meaning, other people technically had a VESTED INTEREST in my failure – energetically speaking.

What do I mean by that?

Okay, well, let’s use the gym scenario as the first example.

Most people don’t realize this but virtually EVERY gym out there oversells their memberships by like 90% or more.

Meaning, if the maximum capacity of a gym is that 200 people can work out at the gym at one time, they will sell 2,000 or more memberships EASY.

Why?

Because they know that 90% of people will not show up to the gym.  They’ll just pay for membership and never show up, or at the very most they’ll show up sporadically.

Gym owners know that they can easily sell hundreds, if not thousands of memberships MORE than the gym can handle because they know that most people will give up.

Their entire business plan, and the economics of the business ASSUME this to be true and if everyone they sell a membership to actually showed up and used their membership, the gym would be overcrowded, too full and they would have some serious issues to deal with.

Therefore, when the owner of a gym sells you a membership, they are ASSUMING that you won’t actually even show up.

The gym I signed up for, I prepaid for a whole year and I didn’t show up after the first month, and they NEVER called once to find out why I wasn’t showing up.

Why would they?  They probably have 1,000 other members also not showing up.

So my point with this is that the way the typical GYM business model works is that they make the MAJORITY of their money, selling gym memberships to people who don’t show up.

People like me. 🙂

Again, if everyone who they sell a membership to actually showed up to work out on a regular basis, their business would be in trouble.

Therefore, the gym has a vested, financial and business reason to HOPE and PRAY that you don’t actually show up to take advantage of the gym membership you purchased.

In other words, they are energetically VESTED in your failure to get in shape.

If you go to the gym and work out, they get paid, but now you’re using their machine and taking up space at the gym.

If you don’t go to the gym and you don’t work out, they STILL get paid as most gyms get people signed up to longer term contracts.

Now, contrast that with my current setup with my personal trainer.

My personal trainer shows up to my house, and we train.

When he shows up, and we train, he gets paid!

If he doesn’t show up, and we don’t train, he doesn’t get paid!

It’s a different setup as compared to something like a gym membership.

My trainer has a VESTED INTEREST in my success because he knows that he only makes money when I’m training, and so guess what?  He always shows up, and whoops my butt! 🙂

Which is awesome and exactly what I need to achieve success.

He also knows that if the workouts are too easy, and I don’t produce results, I’ll get discouraged, and if the workouts are too hard, that won’t work either, so they have to be personalized to ME.

Again, even when it comes to what kind of workouts I do when he’s here, he has a VESTED INTEREST in me having a successful workout.

Which is an awesome thing as well.

In the past, when I bought various exercise machines, the company that sold them to me wasn’t really vested in my success.

They were just vested financially in selling me the machine.  Once I bought it, it’s my problem if I get results with it or not.

Same with exercise DVDs and training programs.  Once they sell you the program, whether you succeed or not is mostly irrelevant to them, as the sale has already been made.

Now I’m not saying that gym owners and exercise equipment stores or exercise DVD producers are bad people, or that they don’t care about their clients.

I believe that they DO want their clients to succeed…

…HOWEVER, most of their business models are specifically organized on the assumption that you WON’T succeed.

It’s kind of like a dentist’s business model…

Dentists make money when people don’t brush their teeth, and don’t floss.

They don’t really make a lot of money on people who have perfect teeth – right?

Same with doctors.  Doctor’s make money by treating people who are sick, or hurt.  Their business model and the way that they get paid and put food on the table is based on treating people who are sick.

It is not structured in a way where they PREVENT people from getting sick in the first place!

Again, I’m not saying that dentists or doctors are bad people or anything like that.

I’m just saying that the business model they are involved in is NOT based on getting paid for preventing disease, it’s based on treating disease.

There are so many situations like that in life, where we do business with people and in some situations those people make more money when we succeed – and so they are VESTED in our success – and in some situations they actually make more money when we don’t succeed – and so they are VESTED in our failure.

Does that make sense?

So going back to my conversation with my Mom and my personal trainer, what I realized is that I have now setup a situation where my personal trainer is VESTED in my success, and this is helping me tremendously to stick to my program!

For example, yesterday I accidentally double booked my schedule with a slight overlap, and I wouldn’t be able to do my regular training session with my personal trainer from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm because I had to leave for another appointment at 12:00.

So I made the suggestion to my trainer to postpone my session until Friday instead.

If this was a gym membership and I called them and said “I can’t come to the gym today, but I’ll show up on Friday” what would they say?  They would be like “Sure, we’ll see you Friday, or whenever, or never…:)”

What did my trainer do?

He just showed up 30 minutes early, so that I could still do a workout and be done by 12:00 pm on the dot and make it to my appointment.

I don’t usually double book like that, but when it did happen, he still had a vested interest in showing up and training me, so that’s what happened.

When people have a VESTED INTEREST in your success like that, you get that extra little push that you don’t get from people who are vested in your failure.

Make sense?

This is also why I love the Empower Network business model for Blogging.

Do You Have Someone VESTED in Your Blogging Success?

What’s cool about the Empower Network business model is that it’s setup in a way where your sponsor / mentor has a VESTED INTEREST in your success.

For example, I have a growing team of bloggers who I work with daily and I’m ALWAYS doing whatever I can to help them succeed as bloggers!

Why?  Because THEIR success is MY success.  I am mentally, emotionally and financially VESTED in their success.

I’m not just selling someone a WordPress Blog or hosting solution and then ditching them to figure everything out on their own.

No, I’m constantly focused on trying to help everyone on my team to be more and more successful as bloggers.

I share from my own experience, I help them out, I constantly visit and read my team member’s blogs and offer suggestions on improvements, etc.

When one of my team members makes their first $1,000 blogging, I will be compensated for that by Empower Network, just because of the way that the compensation structure is setup.

It’s virtually IMPOSSIBLE for someone on my team to become ultra successful and make a lot of money, without me also making a lot of money in that process as well.

Therefore, I have a VESTED INTEREST in the success of every team member I sign on!

This may not seem like a big difference to some people who think to themselves “Well why would I join Empower Network?  Can’t I just setup my own Blog on like WordPress or something?”

Sure, you can do whatever you want, but will that put you in a position where you have someone like me having a VESTED INTEREST in your success???

No, it won’t.

You’ll have a Blog, but you won’t be a part of a team, you won’t be a part of a group, you won’t have other people cheering you on and wanting to see you succeed, and you won’t have a mentor who has a vested interest in your success working with you.

You’ll have a Blog, but you’ll be setting yourself up for failure, right off the bat.

This is why for people who want to start a Blog or who want to make money online, or to develop a second income outside of their job, I recommend that they sign up for empower network now and get the support they need.

The Dead Simple 4 Step Formula for Achieving Results

July 7, 2015 by Paul 10 Comments

There is a very simple formula for achieving worthwhile results in virtually any area of your life.

The formula is dead simple, but each part of it must be followed in order for it to work.

The formula is simply this:

“Do the right things, correctly, long enough, consistently and you’ll achieve the results you want.”

Sounds pretty simple, right?

Well, it is, but let’s dive into each of the parts individually to see what it really means.

# 1 – Do the RIGHT Things

The first part of the formula states that just going out there and DOING things is not good enough, you must also do the RIGHT things!

As an example, I first started working out when I was still in high-school.

My older brother had a very basic weight lifting bench he bought and I used to use it to do bench press and a few other strength training exercises hoping to build muscle.

Then for the next 20 years I dabbled with all kinds of different ways of strength training.

I bought a gym, barbells, dumbbells, and a bunch of other strength training equipment.

I then read some books on strength training and tried working out based on what the books taught.

I only stuck with it for a short period of time before giving up.

Then I tried joining a gym, and that didn’t work for me at all.

I found it so time consuming I never ended up going to the gym.

I tried programs like P90X, gym equipment like the Bowflex, free weights, a vibration plate machine, and a whole bunch of other things.

The challenge with all of these different things is that at the end of the day, no matter what equipment I had, *I* was still in charge of creating my own “workout plan”.

What I didn’t realize though is that I wasn’t QUALIFIED to do that.

It seems like it should be something that SHOULD be easy to do – right?

Just get a book like the encyclopedia of bodybuilding, and pick some exercises that focus on the upper body, then pick some that focus on the lower body, and then maybe some that focus on the core, and boom – you’re set, right?

Well, not exactly.

See, as human beings, what we tend to do is if we’re given a LARGE list of possible THINGS that we could do towards achieving a certain result, and we are given the task of CHOOSING a small set of things from that larger list, more often than not we will pick things that are either easy for us to do or that we are already proficient in doing.

Continuing on with my strength training example, given the choice of over 300+ different strength training exercises I could do, when I would put together a strength training plan for myself I would choose 10-20 exercises that were either EASY for me to do or that I was good at doing.

For example, I’ve always enjoyed doing bench press, so that always ended up on my short list of 10-20 exercises I would do, but something like PLANK would never make the list.

Why?  Because as anyone who has done PLANK will tell you – it sucks!

It’s not an easy / comfortable exercise to do, especially if you’re out of shape and doing it doesn’t make you feel strong and powerful like bench press does. 🙂

So what I’m basically saying is that for 20 years, when I’d try to start a strength training program, it would already pretty much be doomed before I even started because *I* wasn’t qualified to know how to choose the RIGHT things to do in order to strengthen MY BODY.

Now, contrast that with my recent decision to hire a personal trainer from Ivanco Fitness and we’ve got a totally different situation.

Before even putting together a program, I went through a body assessment process with my personal trainer and we identified my goals as well as doing a proper assessment of my strengths and weak areas in my body.

Then a qualified personal trainer put together an exercise program for me which told me exactly what the RIGHT exercises are for me to do.

So now I’m actually following a plan which shows me the RIGHT things to do.

It’s the exact same thing with something like building a blogging business online.

Most bloggers get overwhelmed with about a billion different things they could do as a blogger, but very few know exactly which RIGHT things to do in order to start making money with their blogs.

This is why you need a blogging mentor.

Otherwise you’ll just waste years struggling and accomplishing nothing like I did with my 20 years of “Do it yourself strength training”.

If you’ve never made money blogging you are NOT QUALIFIED to mentor yourself to make money blogging.

Sure you can waste your time trying to figure it all out via trial and error, but why would you want to?

It’s so much easier to just join my team with Empower Network and learn from the best of the best!

Now, let’s look at the next part of the formula.

#2 – Do the Right Things, CORRECTLY

The next part of the formula takes things to the next level.

See even if you know what the RIGHT things are that you need to do in order to succeed, you can still do the right things INCORRECTLY and fail.

This is why you need to also be taught how to do the right things CORRECTLY!

With my strength training example, when I work with my personal trainer, he doesn’t just tell me what the right things are for me to do, he also makes sure that I’m doing them CORRECTLY.

Meaning, my personal trainer watches my form, posture and body mechanics to make sure I’m doing the right exercises CORRECTLY as well.

He makes sure I know HOW to do the exercises, which muscles groups to engage throughout the movement and keeps an eye out to make sure I’m doing them correctly.

Again, it’s the same thing with making money online with a business like blogging.

Even if you know WHAT to do, but you’re not doing it CORRECTLY, you will still fail to produce the right results.

This is why it’s so important to have a blogging coach / mentor, who can not only teach you what are the right things that you must be doing every day, but also who can watch to make sure that you’re doing those things correctly.

Once again you could spend the next few years trying to do it with the “trial and error” method, and perhaps you MIGHT figure out how to do the right things correctly, but why waste that time?

And what if you never figure it out?

Why take that chance and waste that time?

It’s so much easier to just join my team with Empower Network and learn from the best of the best!

Now, let’s look at the next part of the formula.

#3 – Do the Right Things, Correctly, LONG ENOUGH

The next part of the formula states that it’s not good enough to just do the right things correctly…

… we must also do those things LONG ENOUGH to produce results.

Meaning, just because I do the right strength training exercises, and just because I do them correctly ONE TIME, doesn’t mean that I’m going to wake up the next morning having achieved my strength training goals.

In order to reach our goals we must be willing to persevere and do things LONG ENOUGH to produce the results we want.

Again, this is where having a coach / mentor can really pay off, because they can help us to stay the course, to maintain the right attitude and have the mental toughness to keep going especially when we feel like giving up.

Most people fail because they gave up just two feet away from gold, and usually because they didn’t BELIEVE that what they were doing is going to work anyways.

When you work with a coach / mentor, and you know that you’re doing the right things correctly, and they can keep your mindset focused on your goals, it’s so much easier to stick to things long enough to produce results because at least you know you’re doing the right things correctly!

If you’re not working with a coach, and you’re just trying to do the “trial and error” approach, it’s so hard to stick with things long term because you don’t know if you’re even doing the right things, let alone if you’re doing them correctly!

When it comes to building a successful blog, I’ve seen so many people give up on their blogging dreams after just a few weeks or months because they didn’t truly believe that what they were doing was going to produce results.

If you want to build a successful blog, don’t put yourself through that pain and torture.

Instead just join my team with Empower Network and learn what to do from a proven system that’s guaranteed to work!

Now, let’s look at the next part of the formula.

#4 – Do the Right Things, Correctly, Long Enough, CONSISTENTLY and you’ll achieve results.

The next part of the formula states that once again it’s not good enough to do the right things, correctly and for a long enough period of time — we must also do those things CONSISTENTLY!

For example, if I did my strength training program that my personal trainer put together for me, and I did it correctly, and I did that program for 5 years, but I only did strength training once a month or once every 3-4 months, that would STILL not produce the results I want.

In order to achieve the results I want, I also have to do my strength training CONSISTENTLY.

In other words I have to follow a schedule which will optimize the results I get from my program in the shortest period of time, while still allowing me to live my life and to have enough rest time in between for my body to recover.

This is the final piece in the formula.

If I DO the RIGHT things, CORRECTLY, LONG ENOUGH, CONSISTENTLY I will produce results.

If I DO the RIGHT strength training exercises, CORRECTLY with proper form / posture / and activating the right muscles, LONG ENOUGH for my body to transform, CONSISTENTLY enough based on a weekly schedule, I WILL produce results.

It’s virtually impossible NOT to produce results if I’m following this formula.

Again, it’s the same thing with Blogging and making money online.

If you DO the RIGHT things, CORRECTLY, LONG ENOUGH, CONSISTENTLY, you WILL produce results as a Blogger.

If you’d like to learn what those things are, and how to do them correctly and consistently, check out this video of a proven system that has already produced more than a dozen multi-millionaire bloggers.

I warn you though, their results are not typical.  They’ve achieved results that go far beyond what the average blogger achieves with their blog, but every single one of them has followed the simple formula I described in this blog post.

Check out the video here.

The Science of Getting Rich Summarized in 17 Key Points

July 6, 2015 by Paul 3 Comments

The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles is a masterpiece written over 100 years ago and continues to be one of the most influential books on the Law of Attraction ever written.

The book is a short read, and I recommend that everyone read the book cover-to-cover multiple times, but in this post I wanted to just very quickly summarize the main points in the book.

Key Point #1 – You Have the Right To Be Rich

Nobody can live a full, successful life, where they are free to explore, engage and express their full potential unless they are rich.

Although we are spiritual beings, as humans we live in a physical universe and in a time on earth where money allows us to buy things and use things to help us express our potential.

All men and women have the right to freedom and to have true freedom you must be financially free, which means you must be rich.

Key Point #2 – Getting Rich is a Science

There is a science to getting rich.

People don’t get and stay rich by luck, or chance, or because of their environment, or because of their intellect or hard work, even though it may seem that way sometimes when you’re looking from the outside in.

There is a science to the process of getting rich, and anyone who follows the recipe to becoming rich exactly as taught will become rich.

Key Point #3 – Opportunity Is Never Monopolized

Your opportunity to get rich is unlimited and never monopolized.

Even if the current method of getting rich is exhausted and monopolized, a new method of getting rich will be invented and come into existence for people who follow the science of getting rich.

Key Point #4 – Thought is Power

All wealth and riches originate from thought.

Thought is power.

When thought is impressed upon the “Formless Substance”, the thing that is impressed upon the “Formless Substance” through thought comes into existence.

A thought cannot be impressed upon “Formless Substance” without causing that thing which was impressed to come into existence.

Key Point #5 – The Universe Wants to Increase and Express Life

The Universe is IN YOU and FOR YOU at all times.

There’s no Deity out there who wants you to be poor.

All of your desires to be, do and have anything and everything in life are actually also the desires of the Universe, and the Universe is always friendly and cooperative with it’s own desires.

To align yourself with the co-operation of the Universe we must simply engage in thinking from a co-operative  point of view, instead of a competitive point of view.

Key Point #6 – How Riches Flow To You

Riches will most likely flow to you via “normal” means.

Meaning, a bag of money will most likely NOT materialize in front of you out of thin air.

Instead opportunities, situations, resources and people will flow into your life which you will take advantage of in a co-operative manner which will flow to you the riches you desire.

Key Point #7 – Practice Real Gratitude

To align yourself with the Universe and to effectively impress upon it the things that you desire, you must practice coming from a place of gratitude.

The vibration of gratitude is the closest thing to the vibration of creation, and when we practice gratitude, we are communicating with the Universe in the language that it understands.

Without gratitude you cannot impress your desire for riches on the Universe.

You cannot “trick” the Universe or “fake it till you make it” when it comes to gratitude.  You must actually BE grateful in order to engage this part of the formula.  Pretending to be grateful, when in fact you are not, won’t work.

Key Point #8 – Clarity Brings Power to Your Thinking

To manifest riches using the Law of Attraction, we must think in a certain way.

Thinking in this certain way involves getting crystal clear on exactly what we want.

The more clear and focused and connected we are with what we actually want, the faster we will manifest it in our lives.

Key Point #9 – Use Willpower on Yourself

You must learn to develop and use your willpower.

However, you must only use your willpower on yourself, not others.

To become rich you ONLY need to exercise your willpower on yourself.

Nobody else out there stop you from getting rich if you apply the power of your own willpower on yourself.

Key Point #10 – Focus Only on What You Want

You can’t impress an image of what you want onto the “Formless Substance” and cause the creation of that which you want by constantly thinking about and focusing on what you DON’T WANT.

Therefore, to get rich you must stop focusing on poverty, the causes of poverty, the study of poverty, or anything poverty related.

Stop thinking about and paying attention to things that are not related to you getting rich.  Doing so distracts your thinking and will prevent you from becoming rich.

Key Point #11 – Act in That Certain Way

Through our thoughts we create that which we desire, and through our actions we receive it into our lives.

We must take inspired action at all times, in alignment with our vision and our desires.

When we take action we must keep in our mind the end result that we are trying to achieve.

If your thoughts are not clear and not aligned with what you want, no amount of action can ever make up for that misalignment.

Key Point #12 – Act Efficiently

It is not important how many things you do or get done, but rather the efficiency of each action that you take.

One action, done efficiently, in that certain way, with your full attention and focus on manifesting that which you desire is infinitely more powerful than 1,000 actions taken without proper alignment and clarity on what you want.

Key Point #13 – The Right Business

With few exceptions you can get rich in any line of business.

If you look around, there are people in virtually all types of businesses making money, and there are also people struggling in those same lines types of business.

If you are in the wrong business, you can get into the right type of business if you get your thinking clear and focused.

Key Point #14 – Impress Increase

The key desire of the Universe is one of “increase” and “growth”.

To align yourself with the Universe, always form the impression of “increase” and “growth” in your visualizations.

This will put your in alignment with the Universe / Formless Substance.

Key Point #15 – Advancing

Your primary desire is one of advancement and growth in your life.

This desire is in alignment with the Universe as well.

Seek to grow and advance as a person and a spiritual being.

Key Point #16  – Don’t Get Distracted

One of the key pitfalls of the science of getting rich is getting distracted and de-focused.

To become rich we must stop trying to change the people around us, our bosses, our friends, our families, our governments and the world.

They cannot stop us from becoming rich if we follow the science of getting rich.

However, if we allow ourselves to get distracted with all the things that are not “right” with the world, we will simply manifest MORE of those things.

Key Point #17 – Study the Summary Word for Word

This is the summary of The Science of Getting Rich as written by Wallace D. Wattles.

The entire science of getting rich is summarized in these words.

“THERE is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.

A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought.

Man can form things in his thought, and by impressing his thought upon formless substance can cause the thing he thinks about to be created.

In order to do this, man must pass from the competitive to the creative mind; otherwise he cannot be in harmony with the Formless Intelligence, which is always creative and never competitive in spirit.

A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought.

Man may come into full harmony with the Formless Substance by entertaining a lively and sincere gratitude for the blessings it bestows upon him. Gratitude unifies the mind of man with the intelligence of Substance, so that man’s thoughts are received by the Formless. Man can remain upon the creative plane only by uniting himself with the Formless Intelligence through a deep and continuous feeling of gratitude.

Man must form a clear and definite mental image of the things he wishes to have, to do, or to become; and he must hold this mental image in his thoughts, while being deeply grateful to the Supreme that all his desires are granted to him. The man who wishes to get rich must spend his leisure hours in contemplating his Vision, and in earnest thanksgiving that the reality is being given to him. Too much stress cannot be laid on the importance of frequent contemplation of the mental image, coupled with unwavering faith and devout gratitude. This is the process by which the impression is given to the Formless, and the creative forces set in motion.

The creative energy works through the established channels of natural growth, and of the industrial and social order. All that is included in his mental image will surely be brought to the man who follows the instructions given above, and whose faith does not waver. What he wants will come to him through the ways of established trade and commerce.

In order to receive his own when it shall come to him, man must be active; and this activity can only consist in more than filling his present place. He must keep in mind the Purpose to get rich through the realization of his mental image. And he must do, every day, all that can be done that day, taking care to do each act in a successful manner. He must give to every man a use value in excess of the cash value he receives, so that each transaction makes for more life; and he must so hold the Advancing Thought that the impression of increase will be communicated to all with whom he comes in contact.

The men and women who practice the foregoing instructions will certainly get rich; and the riches they receive will be in exact proportion to the definiteness of their vision, the fixity of their purpose, the steadiness of their faith, and the depth of their gratitude.

THE END”

How to Develop Your Willpower to Blog

July 5, 2015 by Paul 1 Comment

Yesterday I wrote a blog post where I shared the 5 simple rules I created for myself which have helped me to blog daily for over 6 months now.

Today I want to expand on this a little bit more and share another little secret strategy I’ve been using to develop my willpower to help me blog.

First of all, one of the most common mistakes that people make when it comes to willpower is that they don’t realize that willpower is a MENTAL MUSCLE, and as such it has to be treated like a muscle.

What happens when a person is hospitalized for a long period of time, such as if they go into a coma or are bedridden for a long period of time?

Their muscle waste away and they get weaker.

What happens when astronauts go out into space where they aren’t subject to the gravity field of earth as strongly as they are on earth?

Their muscles get weaker.

What happens when someone with weak muscles starts a strength training program with a personal trainer and sticks to it consistently for a long period of time?

They develop and grow their muscles and they get stronger.

Well, WILLPOWER works the same way.

So many people say “Oh I just don’t have the willpower to do that!” and they use that as an excuse not to do that thing, as if willpower was some kind of genetic thing you’re either born with or not.

Willpower is a mental muscle that you CAN develop if you choose to.

If someone says to me “I *want* to blog daily but I just don’t have the willpower” my first thought is “Of COURSE you don’t have the willpower to blog daily.  DUH!  If you did, you would be blogging daily!”

The question is not whether you have the willpower to blog daily or not, but rather “Are you willing to develop your willpower to the point where you are able to blog daily?”

If you are willing to develop your willpower I can help you do that by joining my Empower Network team now and getting mentored by me.

When I first started my fitness and diet plan about 10 weeks ago I didn’t have the willpower to workout 2-3 times per week.

If I had that willpower then I would already be working out!

Right?

So knowing that I didn’t have that willpower, and also knowing that I wanted to develop it, I started working with a personal trainer who has put together a whole exercise program for me and has been coming to my house every week to make sure I’m doing those workouts.

Because I was willing to make the decision to DEVELOP my strength training willpower by working with a trainer, I have now had 10 weeks of SOLID “willpower training” in the area of body fitness.

I’ve done more workouts both with my personal trainer and outside doing full body workouts by landscaping my yard in the last 10 weeks than probably in the last 4-5 years COMBINED!

If you want to build your willpower to blog on a regular basis or to start making money with an online business, you’ve got to start working with a coach / mentor who is going to HELP you develop the willpower that you need to develop.

What’s awesome about willpower too is that when you develop willpower in one area of your life, you actually start to have more willpower in ALL areas of your life.

For example, the willpower I developed over the last 6 months as a blogger, is helping me to develop my willpower to exercise on a regular basis.

Lately I’ve been doing some kind of full body workout – be it outside landscaping, or working out with my personal trainer – almost every single day!

In fact I’d have to check my calendar to see when was the last day that I didn’t get any exercise.

How did I go from living a sedentary lifestyle of always sitting in front of my computer for the last 4 years to now exercising almost every single day so quickly?

Well, I leveraged the willpower MENTAL MUSCLE I developed by blogging daily for the last 6 months and I combined it with a the right training and strategy from hiring a personal coach / mentor / trainer to help me!

If you want to develop your ability to blog and make money online, I recommend you do the same.

What Are Rich People Like?

June 29, 2015 by Paul 1 Comment

When you think about a typical “rich person” in your mind, what images and qualities pop up?

From your perspective, is the typical rich person a nice person or are they mean?

What motivates them?

What are their deepest desires?

What are they like?

What do they like to do in their spare time?

Are they male or female?

How old are they?

What kind of clothes do they wear?

What kind of car do they drive?

Where do they live?

What kind of diet do they follow?

Are they fit?

Are they fun?

Are they honest?

Do they have integrity?

What are their friends like?

What’s their net worth?

What do they do for a living?

When you ask yourself these types of questions about “rich people” where do you think these answers are coming from?

Do you personally know a lot of rich people and so are your answers coming from personal experience?

Or is your opinion of what rich people are like based on what you read on the Internet?

Or is it based on what your parents  and friends told you growing up?

Or is it based on what you’ve seen in movies?

When we think about the typical “rich person”, we all have a different idea and image in our minds of what that person looks like, how they behave and who they are.

For the majority of us, we have been programmed by society, by movies, by our parents, teachers and friends, and by the mass media to have a certain image of “rich people”.

When you see someone driving a really nice car, do you think to yourself “Wow!  This person must have a lot of integrity and must have done something wonderful to make their money so that they can afford a car like this!”, or do you think to yourself “Drug dealer!” 🙂

Where does that type of programming come from?

If you want to make a six or seven figure income online or more, do you realize that achieving this goal would put you in the income bracket where a lot of people would consider you a “rich person”?

How do you think people would feel about you if YOU were driving a $250,000 car?

How would your friends feel about you if you were making more money in a month than they do in a year?

For most people who grew up poor or middle-class, we’ve been programmed to NOT like people who are rich.

One of the challenges of becoming financially successful (ie. RICH) is to overcome some of this programming.

We have to re-condition our thinking around who we believe rich people are, and we have to start believing that rich people have the same desirable qualities you would want to have, instead of seeing them as someone like Ebenezer Scrooge!

Be honest with yourself… when you close your eyes and try to imagine a “rich person” what pops up?

If the image of a “rich person” that you see in your mind is something undesirable, maybe that is why you’re not rich yet?

Maybe you’re afraid that if you become rich, you’ll become the person you see in your mind.

Something to think about.
